I think the wrong guy is getting flak. Probably just assumed the OP had his players correct and saw a bad play. OP should be taken to task for misrepresenting what really occurred. Probably bitter about the pick.....

OP does deserve some flak but unless I misinterpreted the response was to my comment. that's why I replied to him.

The first goal it was indeed Fjo that got wheeled around. The second one was my mistake. They cut to another clip of FJo getting blown by and then escaped on in the corner, and I didn’t realize they didn’t score.

Interesting... he was at a PPG in the BCHL and then his production seemed to stall out at game 12 or so. He may also have missed a game or two recently, maybe because this was in the works.

I hope he does well.

I don’t exactly have high hopes for someone who isn’t lighting up the BCHL in their D+1 season. Good last name though, so I’ll root for him

Khovanov doesn't have great skating or good defensive skills.

Didn’t say that. I said that he will be given every opportunity to. I wouldn’t be surprised if he made the team, though. More than likely I think he gets top usage in Iowa, but he has skill

Just like Connor Dewar or Ivan Lodnia or Mason Shaw (who coincidentally also had injury issues) or Will Bitten or Adam Gilmour or Brett Bulmer.

Does really matter where he's from? Most players on ELCs belong in the minors, especially in their first season. Just having 1 NHL quality skill isn't enough to make even the bad teams in the league.

Iowa should have a decent turnover next season. Anas, Beck, Brown, Liambas, and Rau will all UFAs after the season, and there really isn't any reason to keep any of them on the 50 man roster.

That Khovanov is going to challenge for a spot in the NHL? Just because he has had a few decent seasons in QMJHL? He isn't a blue chip prospect nor is he an impact prospect. More than likely he'll muck around the AHL, maybe get a call up as a bottom 6 forward and that'll be that if he's lucky.
