I question the idea that his skating's holding him back this year anyway, and wonder if Pronman's comment is based on what he's seen this year or is just going by past analysis. I've only actually seen the Wisconsin game, but he wasn't exactly struggling to keep up there.
Pronman isn't good at what he does.

Skating can mean lots of things: speed, stride, burst, cuts and turns, efficiency, balance, etc.
I'm still not sure what he's seeing (or "seeing") in Boldy's skating that would be an issue. I'd agree that his head and hands are way better than his skating, but he's looked plenty agile and strong on his skates. He's fast enough, even on the bigger ice sheet. His "burst" might not be great, but he doesn't end up chasing the play or anything like that.

My guess is that his shooting percentage doesn't stay at 6%, Newhook settles in a little, and both the G and A columns look a lot better by Christmas.

His skating doesn't look natural or smooth, but it's not like it's a labored style like Rask (or like Bruno had). He's got decent if not great speed. Sometimes people can get overly critical on skating styles vs actually looking if the player is still functional at a competitive level vs others in their skating.

Nashville Prospect Philip Tomasino (24th, 2019) is on a tear to start the year. Was a player that I wanted to get so badly. I think he could be a steal of this draft. great skater

Philip Tomasino at eliteprospects.com
Right handed center, good size, scoring ability. Yeah, would have been a great prospect for the cupboards if we could've snagged another 1st round pick last year.

Totally blind and mostly useless EliteProspects scouting report:

Tomasino: 9G - 14A - 23P in 12 games (4th in OHL scoring)
Beckman: 5G - 14A - 19P in 11 games (2nd in WHL scoring)

So Beckman just needs a hat trick in game 12 and we're good to go :sarcasm:

Defensive defensman, Filip Johansson, gets worked by Lucas Raymond(2020 draft eligible) on both of these goals.

The one from behind the net was on the goalie, not him. I'd need to see the whole rush on the redirect goal before I put much blame on him

he let the forward get past him on that deflection goal, how is that not his fault for better positioning? congrats to khovanov! now if we can just get sokolov going.

I'm not sure he was even on the ice for the deflected goal.

First goal is totally on the goalie. Guy should never score from there. On the deflection goal, #100 Karlsson, loses his man in front of the net and guy crashing scores on a deflection.

also at work watching the poor quality and able to see clearly not fj...
I think the wrong guy is getting flak. Probably just assumed the OP had his players correct and saw a bad play. OP should be taken to task for misrepresenting what really occurred. Probably bitter about the pick.....

The first goal it was indeed Fjo that got wheeled around. The second one was my mistake. They cut to another clip of FJo getting blown by and then escaped on in the corner, and I didn’t realize they didn’t score.
