Looks like that league does 3 points for a win, 1 points for an OT loss, and 2 points for an OT win. The NHL should do this.

Extraliga does this too. It's why there was an 80+ point difference between Kladno and playoff teams.

I would tweak it a bit and bring ties back as one point to each team, eliminate SOs

That would incentivize going for the win for the extra point, i think....

Goalie equipment has gotten way smaller and lighter. Sticks have become whippier. Forward talent has improved.

To be fair, so has skater equipment.

The difference between my Graf Supra G5 and my Bauer Vaporlites is hilarious. And we're only talking 17 years or so. The set of shoulder pads I have now, that I don't even wear, offer a lighter weight and level of mobility that is otherworldly compared to what I used in the early 2000s.

I would venture the guess that training routines are a bit better as well.

I know it’s bad to only source your players from a limited selection of geographical areas, but I would be much less annoyed if we were exclusively retaining bad yinzers instead of bad Bostonians and Massholes. Have some hometown pride, fer chrissakes.

Manufactured drama. It's all the rage these days. Can't sell advertising if no eyes will be on it. I get it. But any given night is a total crapshoot.. Win by seven, lose by seven

Sucks though, as the goal of parity of the league seems to be driving a majority teams towards 41-41 records... With a few 50-30 and 30-50
