They’re trying to teach him the 200’ game like they always do with other prospects. That’ll get him over the top.

Assuming the math is correct and there's no reason for me to doubt it,
what a damming stat

But I am not really sure what the math means?

Does it mean, that RM mishandled him and as such his season was ruined by games where coach didn't player him enough ?

Does it mean that 2/3 of the times he played well and put up excellent number, and 1/3 of the time he was so awful that he was basically unplayable?

Is the meaning something else.

I find it more likely that his ice time was a reflection of the way he was performing that night, than the ice time impacted his performance

3rd paragraph
Almost a point per game as a 19/20 year old in the 2nd best league in the world with 15+ TOI
The difference is stunning, you give him 15 minutes the kid produces, the proof is there

Yeah but I do think his question is valid. Was the staff short changing him because he was playing poorly or does he need more minutes to get into the zone and play well.

Or maybe it’s just something simple like Lysell plays more minutes when there are more power plays so of course he scores more in those games.

No doubt Bussi's performance this year, albeit as a rookie, will have some influence on Sweeney's thoughts as he looks to the Boston goalie situation and if there are any attractive offers.

Seems disappointing to me. Not sure from a player development standpoint this was earned, and at the end of the day this is the only thing that should matter at the AHL level
That was my first impression too - but who was called up that didn't seem ready to slot in since he took over?

+1. Dont remember the last time the baby Bruins won the Calder cup or even made it to the finals

Its not everything when it comes development. But would be nice to see vs yearly early round exits

On the flipside... DS/JF/scouts shoulder some of the blame ... for not providing the necessary talent. And that the AHL coaches have done all they can.

So many people seem to have Beecher in Boston next season. My question is for those who had a chance to watch him regularly:

How realistic is this?

I feel my stat-watching is about as valid as those basing their opinion on size and draft pedigree. Which is to say, it really isn’t. I just find it difficult to pencil him in, regardless of how desperate we are.

I do not think Beecher starts in Boston. Might not even get a taste until Black Ace season. Maybe not even then.

But.

If you roll out a 4th line of Lauko, Beecher and a re-signed Hathaway, you've got a monstrously fast unit. If Beecher continues to progress, you could very well have an extremely fast, very physical line. It's something to think about, though they'd wind up with more than 100 games lost due to injury, most likely.

Imo I think he makes the parent team as the 4th line C or winger
