It's funny how effective the EA Sports NHL series is at creating memories of players. When I think of Mike Sullivan as a player (usually related to some argument about how skill players can't coach, which is kind of a fallacy, but I digress), I think "yeah, the guy who played for Boston around the time I had NHL99", which is funny because he played a little over 10 percent of his career for the Bruins. But I think when I scanned the lineup of each team and looked at the headshots, Sullivan stuck in my brain because - and this is a bit weird - he's got a "high contrast" face. Pale face with jet black hair and eyebrows, dark eyes, also one of the narrower heads out there. And then the late 90s Bruins had a lot going on in the shoulder area of their jerseys too. So not necessarily the most unique looking guy out there (hello Ricci), but someone who specifically sticks out when their picture is something like 75 by 75px on a Windows 98 display.
