Isn't Merkulov way to small for center in the NHL? He looked overmatched. Bruins usually want more size I think. I would love it for them to keep him there.
Historically they like Center's 6'0+ but it's his best position
When did you see Merkulov at Center overmatched?

No sir. Was overmatched vs NHL and AHL players in preseason. Had a great year tho hoping for great things
So I couldn't remember if he played or not but according to CBS he didn't

Were you thinking Prospect Challenge in Buffalo?
Merkulov had 1 goal in 3 games,I thought he played pretty well

Was that it? Gross that’s even worse lol. I’m sure he will be fine though since he had a superb rookie AHL campaign. He just looked way too slight to play NHL center

He played the September 27 exhibition game against the NYR at TD Garden.

He had 17 shifts for 13:07 TOI, 2 shot attempts - 1 shot, 1 blocked shot, no points and a minus-1 in a Bruins 5-3 win.

Like I said couldn't remember if he played but I thought Beecher got into a game or two but he wasn't listed either
Anyways we'll see him soon enough in September

So I'm reading an article today speculating that the Bruins might trade for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

If true this could make some sense. We have defense depth we could trade and maybe throw in another player to make the salaries work.

What do you think it would take in a trade to make this happen?

I would imagine they would want Carlo coming back. I would propose Ullmark, but they are paying Jack Campbell far too much money to acquire another goalie.

Why would they? NH is just like what they have that didn’t work.

I think Ullmark would be the guy going but the question to what team and for what. Prospect or Draft picks. I be curious if they move Griz also either combined or separate
