Apple doesn't fall far from the tree apparently

I don't think this Providence team was very good to be honest. Every time I watched/went to them this year I was underwhelmed but they somehow finished in 1st. I had Hartford in 3.

Random thoughts:
-Bussi really helped them out and was very good.
-If Lysell wants to continue professional hockey he needs to start paying attention to shit going on around him. He got absolutely rocked like 10 times this year.
-Beecher's absolute ceiling is current Frederic. Do with that information what you will.
-Brazeau is one of the worst skaters I've seen. Bizarre to have him play as much as they did in this supposed developmental league when he has no NHL upside.
-Toporowski is a sleeper.

On Frederick / Beecher Comparison. Sure I guess perhaps that is apt, but they are still very different players. Obviously Beecher has one truly elite skill. And while frederick has developed into a solid defensive player, I think Beecher can be a good bit more than that

I mean they are way different, Beecher can actually play center which is cool and kill penalties. I'm talking offensive trajectory and how they have to play to score goals. Beecher is just not going to put up more than 15G 10A ever. He is not developing this unseen offensive instinct or talent that could have turned him into a legit guy. Gonna be great 4th line center for us though.

Do you think the coaches should take some blame for over-playing a guy like Brazeau while not giving others an opportunity - I.e Filipe?
Piss pour effort - this is on veterans and coaching staff. Embarrassing!

that is fair. I do think Frederick has maybe one more level to get to , but yea I think 15 goals, maybe 30 points at the high end is absolutely Beechers offensive ceiling

Early look at the 2023/24 roster

Toporowski Merkulov Lysell
Kuntar Harrison Steen
Beecher
Abate Hall

Callahan Mast
Lorhei
Renouf
Reilly

I fully expect Beecher, Merkulov to push hard, Steen as well
Lysell needs more time

Expect most back, Wissman probably gone, I'm on the fence about Asselin but that's me
Bussi will make the huggers uncomfortable

They have to buy out Reilly. Good vets to look at to add grit and some leadership would be Dylan McIlrath, Scott Sabourin, Jeff Viel or Mitch McLain.

Viel or Sabourin would be alright - ideally Sabourin, as he's a right shot. McIlrath is a stiff and I'm not sure who McLain is.

On a similar theme, I'd like to see them poach Noel Hoefenmayer from the Marlies. He's not huge or a killer, but he'll throw them in an instant if an opponent smokes a teammate. Plus, he looks like he can play. Another lefty, though, so they'd have to send Callahan off to Maine or something, which wouldn't break me up all that badly.

Forgot about the AHL only guys
Didier, Tralmaks and Brazeau
Tralmaks I'd bring back
Brazeau will be looking for a 2 way and it shouldn't be from us,solid AHL player though
Didier is toast,he should turn to coaching
Realistically all 3 will be elsewhere

Honestly I let Ahcan move on as well. He wants an NHL gig. I don't mind him as an AHL vet, but just don't see him as an NHL player

I put Achan on. the Boston roster only if Forbert, Grzelcyk and/or Reilly are dismissed and if Lohrei isn't ready. He has PP resume but lacks the defensive acumen to control a top six spot. Not a good strategy to assign a roster spot to a player with limited skills.
