I’m still pumped to see what Johnson can do in Rochester next year. I think he will overtake Samuelsson and Bryson. Yes I’m basing this all on my viewing at last year’s WJC

Glad to see the offense is coming though. You could always see all the tools

Yep, it takes time. I'm not interested in putting him in any trade deals that I keep seeing out there. Bring him in, depth is important.

Give Glotov a 2 year ELC. Will do just fine as a 12/13/14 forward in Rochester and maybe he works out as an AHL lifer and can be boots on the ground as the Russian kids trickle in.

Love this plan. Always been a Glotov fan and happy to see him having a good KHL season. Kid’s smile and attitude are so infectious and I agree he would be a great bridge and resource for the younger Russian kids.

Eh, it's not that much of a break out though.

It's funny how people trash a metric less when the metric starts to speak well of Sabres prospects.

Its always better to see guys doing well in any metric, but it is a little silly what the number is asserting, especially given the sample size for most of these guys.

Filip Cederqvist is having a good season in SHL. 12 points in 23 games playing for the worst team in SHL. If he makes it to NHL its not gonna be as a top 6 player but rather someone who plays in bottom 6. He is a hardworking player with some grit.

Steve Wheeler of The Atlantic was singing the praise of Portillo on The Instigators today. He thinks he will return for his Junior year.

He also rated Levi a better prospect than Portillo. Wheeler thought that Levi might sign a contract after this season.

I was surprised to hear him say this because Levi has yet to turn 20 (later this month). I thought Portillo would be the first to sign with Levi only "playing" one college season.

It won’t surprise me if Levi signs first. Portillo hasn’t dominated the NCAA even on a super team.

Levi is dominating on a less than a superstar team.

What am I missing here? Erik Portillo - Ice Hockey - University of Michigan Athletics

11/20/21 vs Notre Dame - 5 GA, 16 saves, Save% .918

Portillo is playing well. But, Michigan has only played one game against a top 20 opponent so far this season. And playing for a top 5 team against that level of competition, you would hope that he would have more than one shutout so far.

I think there is a lot to like about Portillo. I just think that Levi is closer to being at a point where there is nothing more to learn in the NCAA and it is time to turn pro.

When you look at their game by game stats in NCAA for some reason it doesn't show their GAA and Save% for that specific game, it shows where it stands as a whole for that point in the season. So that 5 GA dropped his Save% from .927 to .918 on the season itself at that current point in time.

I mean just with the calculation, but got it now.
