Well, I was also surprised that he fell so far, but I don't understand what is the reason? I would not mind if they take Pastujov, although I'm fine with Kisakov. Adams take Kisakov, high risk, high reward, just like with Pastujov, he could be Petan or maybe Johnny Gaudreau in the future, I am not against such a risk, especially before that Adams made a safe choice in Poltapov, which for sure will be at least a good third line player.

I was/am high on him, but he fell because he's a poor skater.

For those who tune in late - Novikov is 74 in white, Poltapov is 97 in red. And neither gets a lot of icetime.

Also, old friend Greg O'Renko is #25 for CSKA and ex-Amerk John Gilmour wears #3 for them.

As an aside, fascinating to see CSKA pull their goalie in OT to get a 4-on-3 with Dynamo tired at the end of a shift. It didn't result in a goal either way, but definitely aggressive.

Update:

The only righties in the prospect ranks are Fitzgerald, who might get games in the NHL but doesn’t project as a long-term answer, and Oskari Laaksonen, who has a solid chance to make the Sabres next season.

Which scout pushed for Quinn over Rossi you think? Devine ? Wasn't the story at the time for them doing so was upside of Quinn and wanting to shoot for the fence ?

Pretty stacked forwards. I like Novikov's chances though. Every team needs some shut down guys.
