...and you get a Paxlovid, you get get a Paxlovid, everyone gets a Paxlovid.

I am very aware of that but when someone is talking about jacking off to Trump in a mirror and nobody had the balls to call him out then I felt like it was warranted. Oh and I also read the mod statement about no political attacks but WTF. Either enforce the standards or get shitty comments like mine. So take you in case your not aware comments and we’ll, you know what to do.
Buddy be likeI got me a positive antibody test back in November so now I feel like the Terminator. I got a vaccine and what could only be described as the most mild case of COVID anyone has had preceding it. Apparently antibodies can last over a year. The nurse that I got my test from said she got sick in September 2020 and is still testing positive for antibodies.
Its definitely spiking majorly... everyone I know has quite a few people that have it - many in restaurant industry... if ever there was a time to hunker down this may be it. Another note, this Fauci interview going around re ADE - antibody Dependent Enhancement.. something I was concerned with when investigating the available vaccines.. thats the one thing you cant really know up front and is why Vaxes take a while to get approved.. well known vax for dengue fever had this. In this conversation he's pointing out the every vaccine has the potential for ADE its still something that to be concerned with any new vaccine.
File this under "When you think things mean something but they don't".How would that apply here?
All the public data we have shows that the VAST majority of hospital visits are unvaccinated and if anything the vaccine is making the disease milder in those that have breakthrough cases.
If anything, it's certainly not making it worse. This looks like a complete misinterpretation/borderline propoganda.
The point is as Fauci mentioned: its too early to tell if the vaccine is 100% safe from ADE... and this is one of several reason why they normally vet vaccines over a period of years. This isnt hysteria - this is coming from the lead govt spokesman on infectious diseases. My secondary point is: when weighing whether to take the vax or not, its good to consider any long term downsides. Lets say covid had a 30% mortality rate - I would not even consider the possibility of ADE and get the vax without further thoughts. Given the risk of getting and dying of it are less than .1% - then I start to consider the risks of the vax itself and it is a risk/reward analysis. How would that apply here?

Not borderline at all. Just pure propaganda. How would that apply here?

That is not a gotcha.. its a statement of fact about vaccines in general - not about something changing over time. I just became aware of the clip today - so to me its interesting to hear his opinion of vaccine development. Its purely informational and to spur discussion. It seems any discussion of the risks of the vaccine cause a lot of hand wringing. All vaccines have this potential risk. That's fine, but that video is grossly out of context, and even if that's a consideration for you, the presentation is questionable. It's from March 2020 and is being presented as a 'gotcha' and your use of it as a suggestion/implication that the Omicron strain is presenting this has the point literally backwards.
Clip of Fauci discussing theoretical vaccine concern is from March 2020 | AP News
First of all, if the mortality rate was 30% the virus would quickly burn itself out. It would never have made it out of the minor leagues. The point is as Fauci mentioned: its too early to tell if the vaccine is 100% safe from ADE... and this is one of several reason why they normally vet vaccines over a period of years.
