To be fair, that's more of a lack of saving/preparation thing than a COVID thing. If someone is buying a house, they should have 6 months of payments sacked away minimum, to not have that is crazy. Same thing with rent. If you can't do that you are buying too much house or living in an area that's too expensive for you.

There is so much that can happen disaster wise to someone. It could be a natural disaster - earthquake, flood, or fire. It could be something like cancer or emergency surgery that costs and arm and a leg, even with insurance. An older parent may unexpectedly have to go into a care facility. I've seen it happen to a close friend, unfortunately. It's the American way to bite off more that we can chew financially.

Bottom line is if someone is losing their house right now because of this, especially with mortgage companies working with people and with executive orders restricting evictions, that's a result of poor choices not COVID.

Forbearances are actually down month over month as of today too.

That’s a bullshit number my sister works in a hospital and you have people dieing of cancer and getting covid slapped on the death certificate so the hospitals get their money as well. A family had to fight not to get a covid cause of death in hospitals.

Financial Times has an excess mortality tracker to compare year over year so 'fudged' numbers need to be accounted for somehow:

Curious what you think the spike in excess deaths this year is because of if not Covid? 23% higher than historic average, about 150k more than usual.

Would really appreciate you backing up your thoughts with anything other than conspiratorial garbage. You have a right to be a selfish prick as much as you want, but your opinions don't agree with evidence.

Anyone who has ever taken a statistics class knows that you can make them say anything you want them to. Sorry your gotcha has now weight.

Not everyone plays by the rules. You being in financial planning should know that...ahem..Wall Street. I've never seen that at my hospital. Most are going to play it straight up vs those out there who cut corners.

Go back and read my longer post that you skipped over a few pages ago, then you can catch back up.

Your deflecting I asked one question. If essential workers like lineman, cops, doctors, nurses etc have to show up and do their job as outlined based on performance why don’t teachers have to do the same.

if you can’t answer the question baffle them with loads of bullshit comes to mind.

Why are other people’s jobs required to be executed despite their Heath risks and teachers are not. If they are not performing their jobs to the state requirements why are we paying them?

sorry I snuck a follow up in.

Oh, so you're going to double down and be proudly ignorant. Why didn't you just say so? Could have saved us several pages of trying to help you understand.

I told you exactly why several pages ago but....see above.

So you are not going to believe any stats because someone can manipulate them? Is that what you were doing when you said 80% of parents wanted kids back in school?

That was a survey taken by the parents in our school district. Where I saw the question and the Tally. I also know at least 50 of the people that took it. Pretty big difference than reading something put out in through a media outlet.

Neither were people working Wall Street. But look, there is going to be corruption in all sectors. Question is how is this pandemic going to get solved and how do we keep exposures down. What is your solution?

If you don’t want to work don’t work. You just don’t get paid. You are free to find employment in a field that doesn’t expose you in a way you deem uncomfortable.
If you don’t want to send your kid don’t send them.

All I am asking is that teachers And administration be treated like the rest of us. If we choose not to do our job we don’t get paid.

It was 2 pages ago not several. How am I supposed to believe you when you exaggerate.

Why because I know how to write a report using statistics? I bet you would say statistics released by outlets in opposition to you are manipulated as well so we can go around and around.

So that's one school district and not representative across counties in CA. Hardly a representative sample size. One school district across CA likely has people of similar economic status, education, wages etc. You're free to send your kid back if that's the case but I doubt that 80% is a true number. One of the other posters prior indicated that number was inflated and misconstrued and the survey was taken prior to this explosion in numbers.

I’m not trying to change any other school district other than mine in which it is the clear majority opinion. 1 size doesn’t fit all. I am specifically speaking about schools and covid also I’m not painting with a broad brush. Maybe that was needed for clarification.

also I never even mentioned the name of the school district I was talking about so how could he refute my numbers. This survey was sent out last week.

It annoys me that these numbers are so out of date. Would love to see them current, particularly the US.

if you can’t answer the question baffle them with loads of bullshit comes to mind.

The irony. I'm not sure anyone could decipher your avalanche of crap.

LOL...that would have helped. I thought you were talking about all of CA. Hey, if your district wants to run like lambs to the slaughter go nuts. I still disagree because of the unknown long term effects of COVID in children, schools not having a plan, unknown long term disability secondary to HF, renal failure etc and the cost to the state when weighed against a short term fix and unknown transmission rate from kids to adults despite viral load but hey, we'll always be here to take care of people. We'll have beds ready, if not, we'll find one. Sorry to be a little glib but I gotta prep dinner and do letters with my kid. Best of luck.

I dont want to give Old and Slow any bullet points, but intellectual honesty is a big part of my moral code, so I couldn't live with myself if I didn't say that...

Suicides have skyrocketed this year and are a big part of the excess deaths. Same goes with overdoses

But yes he is full of conspiratorial garbage

Maybe suicides are up because people are looking at the same 4 walls too much.

I m likely to believe anything written by the SF gate as you are to believe anything on OAN. Hahahaha
Dismissing a source without reading it at all is intellectually dishonest.
Had you read it , you would notice that is an article of testimonials of covid survivors and nurses.

Does this also mean that you didn't read the other 3 I posted because you didn't like one of the sources?

I didn’t read everything you said because I don’t take that long of shits . You didn’t hook me with anything meaningful so I didn’t read the rest. Your kind of a bore.
