I know it's early but you gotta consider it a statement weekend for UMass. They deposed the champs in ass-kicking fashion.

I have no friggin' idea why I can't turn off italics in this thread...I guess it will be part of my identity.

It seems like Michigan has a helluva time winning in Happy Valley, dropping a 3-0 game tonight. I DVR'd it off Big 10 Network, haven't watched all of it but again, goaltending keeping them in it early as has been the frequent part of his career in Michigan. Just tonight it is Noah West.

#1 goes down and it didn't even look like an upset. PSU outshot them 49-17. West stood on his head to give UM a chance, but they never got it going. PSU looked faster.

I've just finished the first and PSU is up 16-4 in shots, a season period low or the Wolverines. The Lions look like they did a few years ago - quick, tenacious, sound.

Providence had a hell of a weekend sweeping UMass (with a come from behind W on Saturday). That very young team should be in the contender mix for a few years.

Huge sweep for RIT at AIC. 20 out of 24 points in conference now, but no rest for the weary as they host Sacred Heart next week (also 20 out of 24 points in conference). AIC gonna have to do some work to not get dethroned in Atlantic Hockey this year.
