RIT hosts the US developmental team this weekend after another big sweep over Sacred Heart last weekend. They really should be ranked at 10-2 (#16 Umass is .500 and lost and tied to AIC/Sacred Heart - RIT just finished sweeping both), but oh well.

I wonder if it is the RSV that is going around a lot of college campuses right now?

And as far as the 3rd string goalie playing LW, when I was at Clarkson, I skated against our 3rd string goalie at a skate & shoot and it was crazy how talented he was skating up. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Shea were able to hold his own.

It was an exciting game. Close though... I don't see him as being enough in net to get Minny the championship they are angling for. Motzko has that team working well in the way St. Cloud used to. I'm very disappointed with how NEU has flamed out. Their early games looked so much better than now.

Better game out of NEU against LIU but that may also be due to LIU's inexperience as a D1 program. 3-1 now in the third. Just killed off a major (LIU's only goal) to Jayden Struble.

I love it - but I remember when I first moved to NC and was playing on two ice hockey teams plus doing pick up on Friday nights. My best friend was like "Aren't you single? You're going to play hockey every Friday night?"

He had a point.

16 years later I married a girl who was the sister of a guy with whom I played hockey here who moved back to Detroit. So I guess it worked out.

At the moment, it's something to do. My GF was amused by MST3K'ing the U20s - I pointed out how hockey play by play is low key dirty and now I will hear her snort whenever someone mentions any of a the plethora of double entendre comments from the crew calling the game. We keep very different hours.
