Both want to play at home.
Gaudreau contract at an impasse as he is not committed to Calgary.

Sign Gaudreau to the identical 6M contract as Hall and swap them.

Both kids play at home.

caveat...Chiarelli might have stipulated that Hall not be traded west for x amount of time
Neither have said they want to play at home. There is also nothing to suggest that the Gaudreau contract talks have reached an impasse. Starting a thread with this much false information is never a good sign.

You said it on the Flames forum.

Did I say it here? Also that was because I said I would be more worried about your Flames, if they sold high on Johnny......Getting a couple of more durable offensive players for him, would scare me as a Nucks fan. Then you guys were saying stuff like he is one of the most durable players in the NHL. You guys also said his size does not matter at all (In playoffs), and proceeded to edit my posts for your arguments.

Not to mention the whole "Chia stipulated that Hall not be traded to the West" piece. That isn't a thing.

But he was benched to avoid being pushed around and hurt. If he was your best player shouldn't he be out there?

Pointless to argue here. He is 5ft9-150lbs, but is the most durable player in the NHL. He will continue to avoid hits like he always does, and continue to put up a point a game for his entire career, never getting injured (Playoffs included).
Deal with it.

It still proves what happens when he has to play against a heavy team in the playoffs.

It was his first season and first playoff experience, yet he still had 9 points in 11 games. He will be a top producer and will be a good playoff performer if the Flames can get there consistently.

Really people? He got points in his last three games against Anaheim and I'm pretty sure he got roughed up the first game.

That was the first time he saw a real playoff team, and Hudler and Gio were hurt. Calgary didn't stand a chance that series, Gaudreau was our one bright spot.

Glad you know what will happen with him during the playoffs in the future, because I sure as hell don't. I just seen his effectiveness against a tough team in the Ducks.

You just judged how he will fair in the playoffs because of one short series in his first NHL season with a fairly young Flames team against a way more experienced Ducks core. :help:

All that matters in the playoffs, is if you advance or not. They did not advance.

Small sample size, so I am not sold. Big deal. Vancouver was also favoured to take out Calgary that year, because of....wait for it....their experience.

And that's the rookies fault against a vastly superior team?

okay then Haha

I never said it was, what I was saying was, I would rather have a player like Hall for the playoffs, over Johnny. I was using what I have seen to lead me this way. We have not seen Hall in a playoff game yet, but please don't tell me he could not do better against a team like the Ducks. On his size alone, I would take Hall in the playoffs. I don't know what the big deal is all about.

I personally can't wait to see what Hall can do on a playoff team. Its also safe to say, Hall would not be on the bench for an entire period in a playoff game. He does have to be playing, to be effective after all.

I think gaudreau is better than hall. This coming from an NJ fan. But, there would never be a deal here anyways.

Gaudreau is one of the most electric players in the league to watch, I'm not sure there's many players the flames would be willing to trade for him... As an Oiler fan im completely in board with the flames trading him in any scenario.. He's a gamer.
