Yes, the ESPN crew made a passing mention of it coming back on air after the TV timeout. They also said that he got a warm ovation, immediately angering 95% of the citizenry here.
You probably have the floor plan of his condo.Anyone know a place to watch the game in Vitali Kravtsov's Manhattan condo?
I'm not necessarily sure I agree with that, but I do think the overall scope of this team leans a bit towards playmaking than shooting talent. I don't think it matters too much in the long run. Just for context, I dove into Valiquette's data - massive caveat that it's all-situations since the even strength data isn't available - and they're simply underperforming expectations right now. Like I said, I don't think it'll continue in the long run. That being said, my optimism will of course result in a grueling loss to the Isles tonight that has everyone calling to tank for Bedard. This team doesn't have a ton of big-time shooters. And even the big shooters on the team sometimes doubt their own shots. That's partly why this team heavily relies on deception and theatricality for tap-in chances and goals. Zib and Panarin are the two guys who can score on straight shots, but 30% of Zib's effectiveness is taken away when everyone knows on the power play the puck is going to him for a shot attempt. Vatrano instantly became one of the team's best shooters when he got picked up at the deadline, and took his shot with him to free agency. They have to create their own shooting luck, imo.
They stopped going to the middle of the ice. Correlates with the major dip in High Danger Chances.I'm not necessarily sure I agree with that, but I do think the overall scope of this team leans a bit towards playmaking than shooting talent. Maybe he was waving to friends and family in the stands? Or maybe there were some people who held up "Georgiev #1 Starter" placards during the game and whom he noticed during a timeout? The fans gave him a warm ovation and then he waved at them after he won? Scumbag is a scumbag.
We need to split them up, that will get them going. Too bad Chytil is hurt, he would be the perfect partner for Kreider. If we play like we did last night and Mika and Kreider get going,we win this 1 comfortably by a few goals
Kreider has history and even if he's half of last year that's more than can be expected of Kravtsov, so why bother?Nothing, but he's the best we've got right now and maybe he can get going with Zibanejad and Kakko. Can't be worse than Kreider has been at ES and Kreider-Goodrow-Vesey could be a really good defensively responsible 3rd line that could chip in offense occasionally while taking on the tough defensive matchups.
Hopefully the reason Gauthier is in the lineup is that the coach realized that speed is an issue and Carpenter sits.....i don't know who plays center though so its likely gauthier in for who?
If Gauthier is up who is out?
Kravtsov?
I think Kravtsov will be a good player eventually but i dont think playing the Islanders and the way they play is gonna help his cause, plus its possible his arm is hurt so i could see him sitting. Id honestly have blais goodrow and vesey as our 3rd tonight. If Gauthier is up who is out?
Kravtsov?
Any confirmation on Shesterkin or Halak? Is Jones back although Hajek was good. I think Lindgren looks hurt. He can get a game off here and there if needed. They need him for the playoffs.
The Isles are probably the team Krav has scored most against lol. Like 6 times incl preseasonI think Kravtsov will be a good player eventually but i dont think playing the Islanders and the way they play is gonna help his cause, plus its possible his arm is hurt so i could see him sitting. Id honestly have blais goodrow and vesey as our 3rd tonight.
3 out of 5.Playing Halak 2 outta 3 would be ridiculous
That line worked well in the limited time they had.I think Kravtsov will be a good player eventually but i dont think playing the Islanders and the way they play is gonna help his cause, plus its possible his arm is hurt so i could see him sitting. Id honestly have blais goodrow and vesey as our 3rd tonight.
