You know what the thing is? The Islanders are going to lose their next two... We'll win on Saturday. And we'll all get optimistic again.

And then they have 7 whole games to lose it again. Buckle up. This is gonna go until the last day of the season.

Think I'm glad I decided to clean my microwave instead of watching most of the third period.

I do wonder if all the awards talk got to Marchand. Then again, historically, he's either on fire or ice cold. No in between. This looks like another cold streak.

Blah.

Playing at home against a Tampa team we have owned all year and they choke again, this one is mainly on the $7M chump we have in net. I know all the Rask lovers will be here to defend him, but this guy is not worth the $$ he is getting paid. Like someone said should have traded him for a top 6 forward and kept a cheaper paid Jones who is just as good if not better. In the off season I would try to trade him for picks or a top 6 forward or top 4 D and then sign Bishop.

If only the other GM'\s were that dumb

Season is on life-support once again. I was looking forward to a postseason. Something is very wrong with this group. For me, I think Rask has to get traded. I'm all done with the attitude I'm seeing on the ice.

LAST YEAR?!?!?

Try three years. This is the third year.

I think the defence is the part that is killing them most.It affects everything.I was ownership I am looking to find someone to fix this.Sweeney is in over his head as is Neely .I am not sure who but they need better smarts running things. But they probably look at it different then me and blame the players assembled

I believe that was me who said that. I actually have a really incredible post I made about Hayes and Beleskey in my post history back when we first got them that has also been accurate.

If the Bruins don't make the playoffs, there's a good chance Neely is probably fired, and when the new president comes in, he'll most likely want his own GM/Coach. It may not be fair to Sweeney, but it would be the right move to bring in someone new to make major changes.

Disagree. Great Head of Player Development or Head of Amateur Scouting but has shown little to no ability to be a General Manager at the NHL level.

This was his shot. He once again gambled on patchwork and avoiding addressing the current teams needs in lieu of his 2018-2019 plan.

Assuming this happens, it still won't bring us back that feeling we had after that Calgary-game. Many thought the division-crown was within reach or even finishing 2nd in the division.
Making it as #8 or DNQ is not that much of a difference for me to be honest. The truth is making the playoffs as the #8 seed wouldn't mean they have nothing to lose. I doubt we and the media would let them off the hook if it gets ugly against WSH (4-0 / 4-1).
Afterall we still expect that "deep playoff run" to happen which Charlie promised.

When Cehlarik was with DK and Pasta that line was creating a lot of chances, I know he made a couple defensive errors which is normal for a young rookie, but that line was fun to watch, why change things? Since then it has been downhill, I would keep Hayes out, sit Acciari and Nash and put in Czarnik and bring Cehlarik back up, can't be any worse than it has been lately.

Agreed. He is the Boston Bruins.

Without Brad Marchand scoring multiple times in a game the Bruins lose. Hell, he scored three points in the beginning loss of this choke job against Edmonton and the others still can't step up.

Boston is Marchand and Bergeron benefits from that this year.

The rest (Pastrnak on his streaks can provide some help) just aren't top six talent.

I don't even know what I just watched. The passing was awful. The defence was awful. The shots were terrible. The skating was horrendous. What was that? Honestly? I saw no emotion. Do they want to make the playoffs? Krug keeps saying we won't collapse but let me tell you, that effort was atrocious. Either you want it or you don't. Tonight they didn't.

Hopefully they get their heads out of their ***** and play like we know they can play,
