In fact, Bratt should be benched for multiple games....

...giving him ample opportunity to head on over to Fitz's office with his agent, sit down and sign whatever 8-year-deal Fitz has on the table for him.

Him losing PP1 time would be a more of a wake up call than a scratch imo and would be just as effective.

I agree Olive Some people in here think their opinion is the only opinion there should be.
It's hilarious
You called the team clowns and pathetic losers during the Caps and Canes games, *checks notes*, which they won while completely dominating play. You literally had a 1 to 30 positive/negative post ratio there. You are the biggest offender on here.

Can we stop with the total bullshit “how they are trending”? Jack is hurt and Bratt is off. Everyone else is playing pretty damn well. They are doing lots of winning and for the most part the team analytics have been great this month. Pretty remarkable considering the top guys struggles, actually.
To be fair Jack and Bratt being off is very problematic. The season isn’t over and at this point I’d probably sit anyone with an injury to get them healthy for the playoffs. Folks get upset during a losing streak which after thr past few years isn’t surprising.

The whining is even funnier when you look at the standings and see we’re 3rd in the entire NHL in points.

If you were convinced we were going to miss the playoffs after the December losing streak, maybe you can see why the hot takery isn’t exactly taken seriously now.

Bratt had these stretches last year, it's probably just apart of his game over a long season with starting hot, cooling off and then a really bad cold spell. Hughes is 100% hurt still, he just looks completely off.

There's definitely some people guilty of habitual doomerism, but lumping in every single negative comment as over the top doomerism or a hot take isn't going to make it any more of a productive discussion.
And every time I say that my wife chains me to the radiator and throws twizzlers at me. And not the red ones!

If it wasn't being said by the same people who call them out mid games that they're WINNING or say they'd miss the playoffs during December cold streak, it'd be taken more seriously. it's the boy who cried Wolf after every loss. There's a ton of people are who are positive even said this Florida game was one of the worst losses of the season, not sure what the point is here.

And how many people here had over the top positivity the previous few seasons based on the advanced stats? It took at least 2-3 years for the actual performance to catch up to the stats, but people just ignore that when all the stats memes come up.

Tomorrow could be huge for both Vitek and the team if they respond with a great performance.
Tbh, who expects a W?

The Devils were great in November. Also defensively. Back then we lost games cause we let every 3rd shot go in. MBW & Vitek = crap

Please let me know the # of games after November the Devs have dominated?

3 game losing streak toward year end isn’t something to just ignore. Playoffs are around the corner. Our team defense has gone to heck the last ten games or so. The entirety of the season doesn’t help when it’s round one. This is concerning. 1 of 6 points … bad.
