There is a lot of concern trolling over alleged "concern trolling"

We are one of the most talented teams in the league and have an excellent opportunity to do something THIS post season, but not by playing like this.

Fans have every right to not settle for preseason expectations when the reality has clearly shifted, and people have a very real right to be concerned with how they are trending and how poorly some of our top guys look.
Can we stop with the total bullshit “how they are trending”? Jack is hurt and Bratt is off. Everyone else is playing pretty damn well. They are doing lots of winning and for the most part the team analytics have been great this month. Pretty remarkable considering the top guys struggles, actually.

Siegenthaler was junk again. We are going on what half the season he’s been good the other have he’s sucked? Which is the real siegs? If it’s the latter then that’s a major problem for the playoffs. When Dougie isn’t scoring he’s basically Severson. That pairing could easily get f***ing abused in the playoffs if sieganthaler doesn’t shape up.

Bratt continues to display why he’s not an easy fan favorite despite putting up numbers. If he wants to be consistently well regarded and get a big payday, he better show up big time in the playoffs. Enigmatic perimeter point producers who contribute nothing when they go into an offensive slump are not endearing otherwise.

If Hughes is playing injured that’s just dumb. What is the point, especially this close to the playoffs and we are sitting comfortable in a post season spot?

Throwing Meier into the middle of this and there being little to no opportunity for chemistry to develop is also not ideal heading into the playoffs.

I saw an article about the devils treating these last 15 games as a trial for the playoffs. So far it’s been a a big wet fart. Their tendency to have ugly episodes of puck mismanagement and poor defense already made me question if they can translate this regular season success into the playoffs. This recent stretch is doing nothing to alay that concern.
So much this, my friend.

The playoffs are going to be the proving ground for him.

If he shows up there, then all that is happening now will be forgiven and just be considered a blip on the radar.

If he continues this bulls--t however, I am not sure as to what purpose he would serve this team going forward if he isn't able to produce when the games really matter?

Eh not really…they were legit that bad in the other two games and a tie was pretty much a fair result the other night
They weren’t bad in the first Tampa game. They were rolling early and if not for the bull crap goal called back, it’s probably a completely different result. And they should have won on Thursday.

And if you don't like what you say being challenged then don't be on a hockey MESSAGING forum, it's literally the entire point.
When a moderator calls it out - and then its immediately challenged - its an inferiority complex at that point, not just a another day on a forum board

Nor does it revolve around the habitual doom and gloomers who even kept up the schtick during peak moments of the season.
Thats fair but Ive seen just today some pretty long-reaches on folks showing slight concern. Yes I know theres doomsdayers too

The one upside is it is better they learn this lesson about playoff hockey right now instead of in a month.

Hopefully they take the lesson to heart and adjust.

I do think it's getting to the point that they need to start considering whether seeding is that important or is getting Jack as healthy as he can be important?

Bratt I don't even know at this point. He needs to get his head out of his ass

I got a longgggg ride.

Have an offer to crash at my buddy’s, who lives only 90 minutes away from here, but out of the way for me.

I can’t leave my dog all night. My buddy’s wife stopped by to check on her earlier. She’s never spent a night without me coming home, even if it was 3:00 AM like some of these times.

Get to do it all again tomorrow!

Already looking forward to a few trips to the beer stand for my alcoholic best friend, who doesn’t make the games down here but comes with me to the Tampa ones.
Get home safe. And if your friend really has alcohol issues don’t buy him beer. Does TB have the designated driver program where they will give you free soft drinks at the game?

Sorry if the pushback is a problem, but I see people thinking their emotional responses to loss can inform about how the team will do in the playoffs.

The same people said we were weren’t making the playoffs during the losing streak, because they were very upset about the losing streak.

They had a great first fifteen minutes and a lousy last forty or so, that isn't high on the deserve-to-win meter for me. I don't get people saying we 'dominated' Thursday, we dominated the 3-on-3 but the actual regular game was fairly even.

Sucks they lost with you there, now that is unacceptable!

I see whining about whining. Either engage or keep moving.

It's awesome you aren't concerned one bit and are content to enjoy the ride. Don't try to force that on everyone else

In fact, Bratt should be benched for multiple games....

...giving him ample opportunity to head on over to Fitz's office with his agent, sit down and sign whatever 8-year-deal Fitz has on the table for him.
