Meh after this absolute debacle, I have zero faith in where the teams headspace will be at. None at all.

damn good thing players in the NHL don't have the same mental strength of fans on HF otherwise that game against Tampa would have been over after the failed 5 on 3.

Carolina, who’s just as finesse as we are and has similar problems with physical teams in the playoffs? That was a goaltending game on the plus end too, their guy sucked and our guy made ridiculous saves

Rangers won a series by that exact same narrative against them, who gives a f***? It's an insane problem when we do it but when other teams do it, it's fine and dandy. Carolina also isn't a finesse team at all, not sure what games you're watching.

Man, I have been impressed by the devils this season as a Florida fan. #13 is such a smart player.

This was a growing game for the Devils for I think: playing against a more seasoned team fighting for their playoff lives, I was impressed with how the Devils for 57 minutes. The goalie was just incredible for 40 minutes.

I’m excited to see how the devils look in two seasons with Hughes having playoff experience and some of the young guys being called up

I’m going to add one edit: I was there for the 6-2 comeback from Florida last season and this year’s Devils teams is night and day. There’s still the maturation process that needs to go on (Florida went through it against Tampa for consecutive years in the playoffs)

The can’t play against hard teams meme has gotten a boost this week

I'm not worried about physicality, but teams that shut down our rush have been giving us problems all year. Washington found the formula early on and Boston, Nashville, St Louis, Toronto and Tampa have all used it to beat us.

We're not making any adjustments which is the real concern come playoff time.

We can’t sleepwalk out of the gate against these desperate teams. We’re at the top and everyone is gunning for us which is pretty freaking cool if you think about it. They’ve never been in this position.

They’re so used to playing spoiler not the other way around. I’d like to see them come up with a solid game tomorrow and we’ll be fine.

Am I pleased with Bratt's disappearing act? What the F do YOU think?

I am viewing it in this way : Each day he struggles, is more leverage for Fitz to get his asking price DOWN.

At the rate he's going, he's going to end up with a little over 7 mill per instead of the 8 mill + he was probably looking for.

Bratt is a PPG player BUT it seems like he's "Kyle Palmieri" Streaky (if there is such a thing).


Meier scored two goals against Tampa the last game so I'm not going to yell "The Sky is Falling" with him.
