Someone’s blaming Schmid?

Someone half-jokingly said to give Akira...Bratt's money.

He certainly played like he deserved that type of money tonight.

Bratt played like he belonged in the AHL.

Siegenthaler was ass tonight. But not like a thicc slice of cake, like a bony ass covered in hair and warts.
He was the worst player on the team according to dom from the athletics model, which is very close to what nhl teams use. Then dougie, then haula

If Hughes isn’t going to produce, we may as well pack it up now. He set the bar high, can’t wilt now that the games really matter.

The can’t play against hard teams meme has gotten a boost this week
Theres certainly some truth to the physicality being too much for us right now. But we can hang skill-wise with any team obviously

And its not that we cant take it or dish it either. Its the impact on our ability to transition fast enough and our lack of sustained zone pressure due to the cycle being done by a smaller, less-than physical forward group

Only Meier and Hischier are above 6' in the top-9 and only Meier and Palat are packing extra weight than their height usually suggests. Sure some of the smaller guys got snarl and play the boards well; but when physicality peaks it doesnt matter as much and size/strength begins to take over.

Lots of losers flexing in here tonight

Man and woman up. Act like you’ve been here before. Even if they embarrass themselves tomorrow they are still ok. 4 game losing streaks happen. This team time and time again rebounds after a tough stretch.

Us limping into a first round match up against a Ranger team that looks done with slumping is not ideal

“Limping” means your teams banged up.

Again how you’re doing at the end of the year in the regular season is very deceiving both ways.

Goalies have been hot going in and then shit the bed. Others sucked at the end of the season and then had great playoffs.

The quality of players matters more. Several of our guys have barely played in the playoffs, or never have, that’s a bigger unknown (if some people are dead set on concern trolling the shit out of this).

Jack doesn’t look a 100%, particularly with shooting, so that’s a concern. I don’t mind him playing more conservatively in March if he’s banged up.

The Disappearance of Jesper Bratt is more mysterious and has gone on longer, not sure what’s up there.

They have to learn how to play desperate teams on a nightly basis and learn fast.

It looks like they took beating Carolina for granted last week and forgot you have to suit up and keep winning like that to succeed in the playoffs.

They are an easy first round exit if they don't adjust between now and the end of the season.

They can't lay an egg tomorrow

I think the effort is there but Jack has to be hurt..His shot and passes have been so weak.

Maybe it’s a good thing the Devils start out in the Metro. I think the Devils are better geared for the Rangers. It wont be an easy series but they play less heavy.

My one gripe. Calls are still confusing and BS. The Cats are clutching and grabbing all night, one dude almost smacked Hughes stick into the stands.

We got all of Jack, Bratt, Vitek, and Dougie looking pretty off (Dougie looks to me making more poor decisions lately)

This has to change by April 13th

Do we even know who our goalie is going to be in April? Vitek is running out of gas and Schmid as good as he’s looked has still only had 13 starts this year. A few more games like this and we’ll shell shock him too
