At what point doing you consider just shutting Jack down for the season until the playoffs? He clearly isn’t healthy and he isn’t going to get healthier playing. I guess when they clinch is the answer. I think the division is getting out of reach.

Maybe...but splitting hairs after 25 minutes of bad play and relinquishing a a 2-0 lead is just shit up
You are right but I never seen you say one bad thing about severson when he has a hockey IQ of a donkey for most of his career

still just so mad about that. To lose is one thing but to lose that way is infuriating. Just like the way they did it against Toronto was too.

This. Unless you’re desperately trying to make the playoffs, you don’t push your best players. He’ll have nothing coke playoffs time to offer. Rest him now, benefit later

I'm sure that they won't. He's healthy enough to play, he'll play. As you said, maybe they give him the last day or two off if the games mean nothing, but I don't suspect that it would happen in any other scenario. If he's healthy enough to play, he's playing.

I have never said a bad thing about Severson. That is correct. He's a very good Defenseman.

Edit:. But try and find something that I have said bad about any Defenseman.

You don't even need to shut him down, per se. Could let Nico and Haula a few extra mins here and there to keep Jack's TOI lower. They never should've brought him back anyway when he wasn't healthy 100%.

And then the thought of having to go play tampa bay tomorrow. good times. I mean if they come out and win it would fix everything, but I honestly don’t see it happening.

The narrative of lumping Jack in with Bratt is an interesting tactic.

Last 18 games:

Bratt - 8 points
Hughes - 21 points

Yeah...these are the same problem.
They are not but peoples expectations are different I think. When I think of Bratt, he's a ppg player. When I think of Jack, I think of someone who will be a top 5 or top 3 player in the world at his peak. He's doing fine, but he is held to a higher standard simply cause he is that much better than Bratt is or ever will be.

He has been so good that 21 points in 18 games feels like a huge disappointment although it isnt.

The can’t play against hard teams meme has gotten a boost this week

Good thing they don't have to play any of the teams they played this week till the ECF or if they win the division and play Florida round 1. And they played TB fine, this is just tiring at this point to bitch about.

they completely dominated the 2nd best team in the league 6 days ago, but yeah for sure
Carolina, who’s just as finesse as we are and has similar problems with physical teams in the playoffs? That was a goaltending game on the plus end too, their guy sucked and our guy made ridiculous saves

I implore everyone (and know that this will largely fall on deaf ears) to remember to have some perspective and that this is their 10th game in 18 days.

This was a game where it didn’t feel like the legs were there for a bulk of it. If it wasn’t for Schmid, this wouldn’t have been as close of a game as it was for the majority of it.

No one should be happy. Losing a game you had a 2-0 lead in the 3rd is unacceptable. This shouldn’t change your outlook on what the team has accomplished all season.

Breathe. See you tomorrow.
I am not calling the season here and not in panic mode but not having their legs I can see that to a point that's all teams now though....but doesn't make up for the basics this team refuses to do....Get the puck deep.... play with a lead ....Can someone be a stay at home defenseman and stay in front of the net .....legs have nothing to do with all those mistakes imo....

I am really gonna leave now but I’ll say again. Meltdowns are completely justified after this one. I have zero criticism for anything people are saying in here.
