They didnt lose 2-3, they were completely embarrassed and looked like they had no business being in the NHL

Who cares, every team in the league gets embarrassed once in awhile. Look at Philadelphia earlier in the year, we go out beat them and there fans act like the season is over, but it wasn't, just like ours is nowhere near done.

I don't know who it was but someone made a sweet pass to him. Sucks that they got a point but they were up by 1 in the 3rd so better then nothing I guess. Plus after the Av's blew their PP in OT, I was for sure Det was going to score on theirs.

Nathan MacKinnon passed it, and it broke Gretzky's point streak for a rookie record.

everyone around us (WSH, TB, MTL, DET) lost tonight. DET is the only team to get a point

All I've wanted out of this year is that for when it's over, whenever I say "Blue Jacket playoff year", I have to clarify which year it is. That's all I want. We could get outscored 40-0 in each game and I'd still be thrilled.

We're still on track but man was tonight depressing.

It's 50/50 right now.... The reason I'm concerned (with Tyutin, Murray and perhaps Niki out) is that guys like JJ, Wiz, Prout and Savard are not going to help Bob very much... Savard is probably the best defenseman of that group... Prout has no business being in the top six, he's horrible..

JJ and Wiz are not good defenseman either but they can score therefore mgt makes exceptions for them...

Unless the jackets get some NHL defenseman to replace our injured NHL defenseman the Jackets are going to struggle until Tyutin and Murray return…...

I'd just like to point out that there are 4 teams with 22 or more wins since December 1st. The Ducks, Blues, Pens, and us.

I believe that speaks for itself.

Boom. If we don't start the year like snails we'd probably be in already.

I admire you Pete. Posts like this are what keep me around.

It's nice knowing that there's still some intelligent life around here.

I like PG, too, but the implication that fans who are upset by the trade ******** and this game are not intelligent just drives me crazy.

Cool story, share it with someone who cares to read your ignorant opinions.

He did. I couldn't agree with him more. And he's had more intelligent and insightful posts in the last week than I can recall you having since I've been here.

I haven't read through and I didn't watch the whole game, but in case no one's said it, man did Horton have a bad second period. He was terrible defensively, running all around trying to level guys and usually missing. I counted two delayed penalty calls on him that the Hawks scored on, is that right?

I am 100% certain Marian Gaborik would have scored 5 goals and we would have won this game. No doubt about it.

I am 110% certain that everything Jarmo Kekalainen touches turns to gold and we'll be in the conference finals next year because of his deft handling of Scott Howson's roster.

Ain't biting sarcasm grand?

Good thing I kept my
(subjective) sanity and quit watching after the first few minutes of the 2nd. Team lacks mental ability to play as a defensive unit to shut down puck possession teams or force the puck to create chances.Play Chi's game against them, bleed from bum.

Columbus does not control its playoff destiny, and didn't coming into tonight either.

(I'll have the magic numbers thread on the main board in the next 48 hours, so...)

My bad, forgot DET had a game in hand. So yes, DET jumps us.
