No one cares
Lmao, last summer I went on a week trip with my boys and one of the boys had to have his stupid white noise "fan" noise on his app go all night. We were going insane the first two days but it kinda works.
I remember when my wife and I went to prenatal classes before the birth of our daughter and the prenatal nurse said that the sound that babies hear from the outside world while in the womb is comparable to a hair dryer or fan.

After she was born and at home with us, she would wake up crying. Her bassinet was right next to our bed and we kept a hair dryer plugged in and when she woke we would turn it on for a few seconds and she would go right back to sleep. When she moved to her own bedroom we had to keep a noise machine that sounded like a fan turned on and with it, she would sleep through the night, even as a 3-month-old baby.

It's kind of wild that so many of us have trouble sleeping
I've had trouble sleeping since I was 3 years old , I remember being jealous of all the kids at naptime at kindergarten, especially that one kid who slept with his feet in the air, it's like he was making fun of me I swear
Takes me hours, but I've gotten used to it sadly lol

I think I should give that a go!

I used to be able to fall asleep by slowing my breathing but that doesn't seem to work anymore for whatever reason. Need a new trick.

Edit: I used to play dark ambient music to sleep to but that pisses off the girlfriend who says it's like trying to sleep in a dungeon. Lol. So thats out.
My biggest issue with sleeping is I hate my mind being left alone to think of all the things that make me angry and anxious. Also why I hated working graveyard shift

real talk i think a good way to get more out of your 6 hrs of sleep is sleep hygiene:

- dark room
- cold room
- eye mask

etc

edit: also exertion from exercise

:dunno:

Screens can also mess up sleep patterns, I try to not read on the phone in bed / bedroom (Kindle/Kobo readers are fine) but sleep is very finicky and I agree with @Mrb1p that being a good sleeper is not appreciated enough by those who have it.

I eat edibles to sleep.

My wife passes out in like 4 seconds and can sleep anywhere.

I hate her for that.

You should try the super night mode in windows. You can't sleep but atleast everything on screen is red !
