Give us barzal instead. We wanna win, gooning it up will lead to penalty’s and it will cost us the game.
I'll take a 7-2 clean win over a 3-2 win and someone taking out Trouba. I want the game to be over quick and Rags fans forced to watch the majority of the game knowing their season is going down the toilet.

That's certainly not what the crowds were for Games 3 and 4.
Yeah we've had some crappy playoff crowds at times in recent years (at least in round 1, everyone always perks up for later rounds) but that has not at all been the case this year. The crowds have been fantastic.

if Rakell is a game time decision where do you put him?

These would be my lines with rakell in

Jake-Geno-rakell
Heinen - Erod - rust
Zucker - carter - kap
Doc - tb - McGinn

Rakells overall effect on the lineup could be huge as long as sully does it right.
Rakell didn't take line rushes or practice on special teams, so I'm doubtful he plays despite being a game time decision.

If he does, without Sid in the lineup, I'm guessing he'll play with Carter and that McGinn will slide down to play with Blueger and Boyle.

Another poster said that Sully should be playing the refs and in thier ear. Trust me Sully will be. Being at home is great and we will likely get some calls

This game more than any we need a few power play goals.

I predict a strong game from us and it's important to get on them early. Rags have alot of momentum right now. They smell blood. The sooner we can deflate that feeling the better.

Rags smell blood but hopefully the pens come out for retribution. They need someone to light them on fire early. I’m looking at zucker, Friedman or McGinn here.

Would be nice if old rust shows up. He was that kind of player.

Someone in that locker needs to step up and be a voice for a change.

I think it's a combination of being an underdog, time passed since last Cup, and the real chance that this is the last hurrah for the big 3. It's been a great atmosphere.

Probably too late for me to be able to watch. Just want to hear a team who goes out hard from the drop of the puck and looking for some meat pounding. Especially if Rangers tries to headhunt some more, I don't want to wake up and see that a bunch of sissies just stood by and watch it happen. I want some f***ing violence in retaliation if needed.

And play winning hockey, just eliminate them.

My biggest thing to watch for is will Sully roll 4 lines. You have to in game like this. If you dont trust a line because Boyle or someone is on it. Bench them.

You have to spread out the ice time in the playoffs.

Present day Rust reminds me of Ricky Vaughn in the first half of Major League 2. Guy is focused on the payday coming in a few months and surviving until then.

It is really sad to see it. I don't think he cares about a cup at this point. He is focused on getting paid first and foremost. But I mean who can blame him. He has 2 cups and could get a ton of money. Hes about to double or triple his total career earnings.

If this ends tonight I'd assume R2 G1 on the 16th.
If it goes to 7 then the winner would play the 17th.

So 1-2 off-days either way. Not a lot.
Only one second round series is set (Colorado/St. Louis), so it wouldn't surprise me to see the NHL wait a day or two longer to start the second round.

Well only 2 series are completed. Only one series this year was short. So with them not knowing if three different series are going 6 or 7, they are holding back on announcing anything. They need to see what the winners will require in terms of days off.

I hope you're right though. Rest will improve the product for the league.

I put a bet for a Rags win. Worked for game 3. But this time I put more money because, you know, such an outcome looks pretty damned likely, alas. Would love to be wrong, though.

This could well be Geno or Letang's last home game for us. So they will either be amazing, or really, really bad. The refs will probably feel a bit guilty and gift as a power play or two... maybe with Sid out we won't try being too cute.

To be completely honest, I will entirely happy if the Pens accomplish one of two goals for the remainder of the series.

Knock out NY in embarrassing fashion.........meaning beating them with EROD as your #2 center.

Or ruin their chances moving forward. It sure would be a shame if Panty ,LaffoutLoud or even Shershitskin was taken out with a "clean elbow check" ...... only Trouba Clean though, nothing dirty.

We both know neither of those will happen. If we lose the series, there won't even be a mean look delivered to any of the Rags. Then we can spend all offseason blaming injuries and pondering as to why it always happens to us. Wash, rinse, repeat

I would be incredibly irritated if they'd keep Domingue in when Jarry is healthy, so I certainly hope it's just that Jarry isn't good to go yet.

I also think it's encouraging that Crosby is still skating today, even if it's not with the full team. Makes me think he'd be back for a potential game 1 in round 2, as would Rakell and Jarry.

I'll take any kind of win tbh. I just don't wanna lose this series.

What's better a 50% or 75% Jarry or 100% Domingue? I imagine that's what the Penguins are weighing right now.

Travel, too, in particular to Canada.

There are different considerations in play for travel due to COVID restrictions still between Canada and the U.S. There may be more time needed for logistics if Edmonton, Calgary, and/or Toronto advance compared to if Los Angeles, Dallas, and/or Tampa advance.

That's why I'm thinking an extra day or two, just to give teams time to make those arrangements.
