I would be incredibly irritated if they'd keep Domingue in when Jarry is healthy, so I certainly hope it's just that Jarry isn't good to go yet.

I also think it's encouraging that Crosby is still skating today, even if it's not with the full team. Makes me think he'd be back for a potential game 1 in round 2, as would Rakell and Jarry.
I don't see it as a guarantee at all that Jarry would outperform Domingue.

Minnesota put Talbot in cold yesterday and he blew it.

I'll take a 7-2 clean win over a 3-2 win and someone taking out Trouba. I want the game to be over quick and Rags fans forced to watch the majority of the game knowing their season is going down the toilet.

In the last minute of the game Boyle beats the crap out of Trouba and then Boyle is suspended for the rest of the playoffs

That's my top non sexual fantasy right now

We both know neither of those will happen. If we lose the series, there won't even be a mean look delivered to any of the Rags. Then we can spend all offseason blaming injuries and pondering as to why it always happens to us. Wash, rinse, repeat

I'm trying to dream the dream of vengeance tonight......please don't burst my bubble.

As much as I love what Boyle did this year, I think it's better if they don't bring him back.
He's not gonna be able to repeat it and we need good players like Zohorna and Puustinen not to be blocked.

What in the name of Christ is with you guys? Dude posts a video of Martin laying out Trouba and you equate that to gooning it up? WTF. This is seriously the most pacifist fanbase I've ever seen
Man whatever gets you going but I'd rather pop a chubby from beating the Rangers on the scoreboard than I would for beating them physically

Geno is gonna have a big game. He always raises his level in these situations and given the circumstances he's going to be especially motivated.

We might see the best Geno we've seen since 2009 tonight.

It gives me peace knowing this series will be settled by Sunday.
Tired of the not knowing and the weight of the past 3 years' failures. All this doubt.

Either move on or fight tooth and nail to the death.
Regardless, I'm proud of their effort level this time.

I agree but I also worry that he might try to do more than he's currently capable of

I think if they have any chance of winning it will have to be the depth lines that step up.

I doubt L1 gets much going, tonight.

There's a correlation.

Pens lost last game cause they lost their marbles (it all shriveled up and inverted into their bodies). If someone would've kneed Trouba or any of their stars in the temple directly after Sid went out I'm convinced they would've won.

But doesn't matter, they'll come out and win today. We usually do with stars injured.

That's great but why isn't he more consistently motivated?

See that's the problem.... Trouba would most likely lay an ole fashioned Alabama beatdown on Boyle. So they win the game, probably the series and they embarrass the guy trying to exact revenge.

That's why it's good to have guys like Kassian on the squad. It would have been a meltdown after the Sid hit....maybe even changes the game for the better and the Pens hold on to the win. If it was complete chaos ensuing the hit, the media/league would not have been able to ignore the hit either.

No response by the Pens....... they assumed everything was fine.

One key to me is going to be how our powerplay plays without Sid.

Sometimes it works better when he it is just flowing through one guy. Malkin will be that guy tonight. If Malkin can get the PP dominant that would go a long way towards securing the win.

Malkin could pot 5 goals and it wouldn't be good enough for a certain seasoned individual

I mean it's not like his PPG is crap whenever Sid is in there. But for whatever reason he seems to find another level sometimes when Sid is out. I hope tonight is one of those times.

Agree with this. I felt like it took forever for Malkin to set up on the 1/2 wall on our final PP of the night. Then it predictably crumbled

I will say it would be a signature moment in his career if Malkin could help them finish off this gaggle of douchecanoes tonight. But it feels way too storybook and he's been pretty mediocre these playoffs.

In other words, "Tristan is close, but we're not going to rush him back before he's ready and the doctors say he's 100% ready, because we don't want to put him in a position where he could reinjure himself or be less than 100% physically and not be able to perform to his expectations."

That was my point earlier. I think Jarry and Rakell could play, but they are taking a conservative approach.

Not sure I disagree when it comes to Jarry, but if Rakell is ready even for 7-9 minutes on the 4th line I take that over DOC.
