They're brutal, it's an embarrassment to the entire league how pathetic they are. It's beyond being a joke at this point and is just disgusting.

I like it, simply because it's enjoyable watching how arrogant their management team is in contrast to how much of a ****show their on-ice team is.

Also, those kids' heads became way inflated with the way the media and their fans were raving about the inevitability of the next Oilers dynasty, so it makes it tough to feel too bad for them.

Who would've thought building a team around purely offensive minded wingers who are clueless in their own zone and small or thin centres while ignoring every other area would result in failure.

I had to check to make sure I wasn't in the Russia Roster thread.

And after all this fuss and end of the world for the Canucks..now only three points behind LA with the same number of games played. :shakehead

Yeah, the only thing separating the Kings and the Canucks in the standings is their shootout records. Outside of the shootout the Kings are 23-16-2 while the Canucks are 23-16-3.

The Kings have a way better goal differential so it's fair to say they've had a better season, but there's really not as much separating the teams as it might seem.

It would be funny if the Oilers still sucked when their star players start becoming UFA's and they started losing them for nothing.

"Yeah yeah sure Craig, we plan on re-signing. Lets just do the deal after the season ends..."

I don't really know how the injury situation has been down in LA this season, but we have definitely been hit harder than "average" so far this season.

The Sedins' hit peak form during the WC last year. My guess is that they have learned from the last couple of seasons how to prepare themselves being at their best come the latter end of the season. They are too "old" to be at their best for 100 games. Maybe I'm a bit naive, but I think we will see at least Henrik being a elite C come play off time (Daniel I'm not so sure - at least not in terms of scoring ability).

As for Edmonton.... not exactly the summer to fix your roster with UFAs either. Go Ott and/or Bolland, Girardi (I don't like him, but not really that many top class Ds available around) and trade for a D with Eberle or Yakupov?

Would love Yakupov in our team. I guess it won't happen, but I would have given up almost anything. Not only could he be what our playmaking Sedins' might need he could also in the future be a perfect fit for Horvat.

I find it funny how Oiler media and fans want revenge so badly on Kassian for breaking Gagner jaw but then their the first ones to run him out of town. Also Oilers have 1 guy who can do anything and what our the Oilers going to do with Sestito and Bieksa, Weise isn't that tough but vs the Oilers he is, their not a team that can really do much about it without risking their other stars getting hurt. Not only that, do they really expect Kassian to fight a plug like Gadzic? Isn't that kinda like expecting Yakupov to fight Weise...

Yakupov wouldn't fight Weise most likely, Dane Fox on the other hand.... :sarcasm:

Yannick Weber has been a 49.2 CorsiFor% player ever since being moved back to his natural position on defence. Another nice pickup who can contribute to the team and has done well in mostly bottom-pairing minutes.

Changed coaches, changed GMs, changed ownership but still they suck.

I wonder if there has been a constant through all this suckitude??? ;)

The show oil change was supposed to be 1 season, showing how they turned things aroung etc, its now onits 6th season.

I'm loling at the Canucks fans showing pity for the Oilers fans in their PGT. I hope they rebuild for the next 20 years and I won't feel sorry for them once during it.

Why hasn't anyone made a video of Eberle's cheap shot on Richardson?

If we so much as get close to doing anything that warrants a penalty or suspension, those videos immediately go viral on hockey forums and YouTube.

Just saying if we could hold on to a lead we'd be much closer.

I really liked the boys' effort throughout the game.

There's only two things that could have made this win even sweeter:
#1 a Burrows goal (He is in the right places, bounces just didn't go his was. Just a matter of time.)
#2 a shutout, just for the sake of Lain's goal standing as the GWG

Anyway, good game, good win. Let's beat the Preds.
