Problem with prout is the combination of being really slow with reaction time and always out of position. It's a terrible combination for a defenseman.

Yep. That turn over in the first that Tyutin bailed him out on was a great example of how bad Prout is. He makes a bad decision, which he poorly executes, he's out of position and doesn't have the skill or speed to mitigate the problem he created.

I love watching Jones play. The fact that he and Murray will be here for (presumably) a long time is such a good feeling.

absolutely. ryan murray is showing us stuff we've never seen from him. Jones is making murray super comfortable in exploring his offensive abilities. Jones just anchors the right side with that super long reach and his skating ability able to cover gaps very quickly.

No. I want somebody who can come in and be a legitimate starter as well. Korpisalo is only 21 and could probably do with another season in the AHL. I'd like to see us bring in a guy like Ramo, Khudobin, Reimer, whatever who has more experience and can handle not just playing games but also maybe push Bob a little bit. Koprisalo seems to be capable enough, but if he's the #2 there's never any question who is starting. I think Bob needs some competition. Maybe more importantly, I think the organization needs it. This is 3 seasons in a row where he's missed significant time and we've paid the price.

Unfortunately, that contract is not looking good right now. I was completely in support of it at the time, but man it's painful right now. It's all worth it if he can be healthy next year and we do well, but right now it's brutal.
