I watched the replay of the goal, can someone point out what Prout was supposed to do different there?

He needs to stay in line with Frolik. I agree that it's not a terrible play, but Prout turns towards the net to look for the puck and lets Frolik slip away. He doesn't have the reaction time, and it's not the first time that's happened.

OK. I saw that and Prout does suck in general but it was the play on the board that set that goal.

I like piling on Prout as much as the next guy, but I agree that the play (or lack thereof) was along the board that started it all. Looks like Hannakinan (sp?) was slow to get on the ice and realize what was happening and let Hamilton go right by him. That (and that HUGE rebound Bob kicked out) seemed more responsible for the goal than anything Prout did.

And by the way, Prout is pretty bad

Problem with prout is the combination of being really slow with reaction time and always out of position. It's a terrible combination for a defenseman.
