Just like giving a 20-year-old a few games will always be "rushing a prospect", dressing a Russian will always conjure up memories of Zherdev and Filatov, and 7 PM games will always be too late for us to get done milling the grain by hand before the game starts.

Leave yer tractors at the border, eh!

of the next five, we should win Tampa if Hedman and Salo are both out, Wash will be tough, win in Buffalo, LAK will be tough, and we play PHI tough and should have won the back to back...stupid 5 goal 3rd period

Washington is going through one of their infamous mid-season slumps though...lost 6 of last 9...probably best time to have them come up on our schedule

Okay I just had a look at the replays:

How the **** does Winnipeg give up a clean 2 on 1 shorthanded on Letestu's first off a faceoff in CBJ's end?

Noel should be fired just for that. That was pathetic.

Letestu wins the draw then skates right up the gut while it's being rung around to DMac for the clean 2 on 1 while 3 Jets are behind the net including the left dman? Ridiculous. How is that even possible in the NHL?

It's only the right call if the first penalty wasn't expired. I don't know if it was or not, but I would hope they checked the clock.

WTF dude? Prout had 45+ seconds left so it wasn't really all that close that they needed to double & triple check it.

Obviously the right call was made & nobody got screwed.

Our goal differential (-3) is 3rd best in the Metro and 6th best in the East.

Meaning of that depends on your personal opinion.

Thanks Jackets..

I enjoyed watching this game.. picked it up in the 2nd right when the fireworks began. The Testtube goal Atkinson goal, and the Foligno goal were beautiful plays and I left this game thinking Boone Jenner could be a star. Once again, thank you Columbus, you looked very good tonight.

Sorry bout that Clode..

You need to relax. My comment couldn't have been more noncommittal. I said I didn't know if it was or not, but clearly there was some debate from the players and CBJ bench as well. I didn't know if it was about the clock, or that it should've been a non-call or what.

We're now 13th in the NHL at 2.73 goals per game. Would be the highest scoring team in franchise history and we've never finished in the top 15 in scoring (and only top 20 once).

considering the roster we've been playing with due to injuries, 3rd best in the Metro ain't too shabby

Ah yes. One day I'll bounce my children's children on my knee and they'll go "Grandpapa! Tell us about the 02-03 Blue Jackets!" And I'll regale them.

"Downright serviceable, they were! Middle third of the league in GPG!"

One of the things that has me excited is the fact that we have 2 rookies playing that look right at home. Has that ever happened for us before? Jenner and Murray are studs, and still have tremendous up-side.

This team is so young, and if they make the play-offs this year, think of how good they can be in the future.

My guess is that barring some miracle Gaborik will need to be replaced by someone with similar skillz, and at some point we will need a better back-up goalie. Maybe another scoring winger.

Last night the Jets kind of reminded me of old Jackets teams. We got that early goal in the second and they just collapsed. Like "here we go again" mentality. Quite frankly with our history, I have no sympathy for them. I just don't.

Need another big home win tomorrow.

A) They still only have 14 ROWs. They've gone to 12 shootouts, winning 8.
B) 3-0 since Bob's return, 4-1 since Horton's debut, 7-3 last 10 :)

I really think we can/should go into Olympic break in a playoff position based on our current play.

4 pts out of 2nd place, who'd a thunk?

Horton looked tired. I guess that's to be expected.

Aside: Watched the 2nd place Flyers lose. When Mason is bad they can't win.
