It is pretty clearly seen at the end of the game on the Kings feed. Dubinsky bare knuckle socked Doughty in the face while he wasn't looking and wasn't expecting it. Dubinsky got a match penalty.

That sort of *****play pisses me off! That piece of **** needs to pay next year!!!

That was then. Now, you have to figure in the Regher factor, who is also UFA, now that I think about it. Personally, I'd prefer the physical aspect of Regher over Scuds.

Lombardi said that in the press conference after the trade deadline (so, after the Regehr acquisition). By the looks of it, he's going to go hard after both Scuderi and Regehr (which, obviously, doesn't bode well for Mitchell's health).

As he should. There is no reason to let Scuds walk unless it's not worth matching a gross overpayment from another team. You can never have too many good defensemen in your stable as has clearly been shown this year by watching guys like Ellerby patrolling the blue line and Scuds is still a good defenseman - he's just being asked to do too much with the depleted blue line this year.

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. And you're right that it doesn't bode well for Willie's health, or just maybe, DL wasn't pleased with how Willie handled the situation. Assuming that the rumors of Willie trying to heal himself the non-conventional way are true.

Theres no thread about the sucker punch maybe causing an injury on Nationals?

Man that was cheap. Hope hes okay.

what are the unconventional ways you speak of?

Looking at the replay, he tagged Doughty good, no gloves on either, right up side the head.

Yeah just watched it in very slowmotion feature. that was really cheap you can see his helmet jolt from the punch.

Tried to look for a thread about it, but what's up with those Dodgers-jerseys?

Guessing they will auction off those warm up jersey's at some point down the line ...
And also helps build up the tie-in with the upcoming OutDoor game the Kings will play next season at Dodger Stadium.

I missed the game but this looked like there was a bunch of controversy surrounding it lmao. Did Lasorda really ignore Jack Johnson lmao? That's hilarious, wow. And I want to see the Dubinsky sucker punch, anyone have a video of it?
