Richards quietly had one of his best games this year. He played aggresive, smart and his passes were perfect with some flare. He set up Penner once and Carts a few times but it rolled off their sticks.

I wonder if DD got tagged pretty good. He looked a little shell shocked and was turtling like he was injured.

Looked to me that Dubinsky was about to sucker punch Doughty and he dropped down to protect himself. Of course these cowards wouldn't step up and drop the gloves face to face with Clifford or Nolan, they just yap, hide behind visors, and swing with their gloves on.

The difference between Ellerby and Greene in the lineup and on their respective units is enormous, it has to be said. At this point, I think Ellerby only comes back in if there's an injury...

Trying to help his teammate out, then turtling when Dubinsky went back. Gotta call a spade a spade there.

I watched it over and over in slow motion, Doughty went in to grab a man, Dubinsky came up behind him, grabbed him and sucker punched him in the side of the head, missing his helmet and was looking to hit him again in the head. Doughty did the best thing possible when the game is over and we are a handful away from the playoffs.

Aye, I have no problem with it. I don't think he needs to be fighting players when the game is over anyway. There are better times for Drew to drop the gloves if he ever needs to.

Fun game to watch. Jackets have a solid team, I especially like that Johnson-Wisniewski pairing. Was kinda hoping we'd pick Wiz up when we were shopping for a D-man, but then I saw his c:amazed:ntract. Dubinsky is like a poor mans Richards...

So moving forward, do we cut Ellerby loose and let Martinez or Muzzin collect dust on the sidelines, or do we make him our new Drewiske and move Martinez or Muzzin for a good return?

I wouldn't cut Ellerby loose, he's got some trade value. But I do think Ellerby and/or Amart will likely find new homes next season.

Quick continues to get better, that's the main thing i've wanted to see the last 5-10 games.

Agreed. For this team to truly contend, Quick would need to regain some of his form and it appears he is. Great sign for the team. The team will miss Mitchell, but RR isn't a bad replacement and having Greene back is a huge bonus.
