Oh by the way, Flyers ****ed up big time letting Bobrovsky go. That guy was ****ing insane tonight. He is going to be really something.

Big time is putting it mildly, it is what Ed Snider has done best over the last few years, trade away talent and watch them suceed elsewhere (See Richards, Carter, Sharpe, Seidenberg, Lupel, JVR and Bob) This year it will happen again becaue not making the playoffs is a major embarrasment for him after he all he gave up to Get Bryz who he said was the 'answer'.
THey need a goalie and a top D and that will cost them one of the top 6 forwards. And they have CAP issues...so poorly managed

As for Bob, I was a huge fan of his from his first game as a Flyer. Such a joy to watch, so talented and a ridiculous work ethic. But instead of doing the right thing and letting him build on his brilliant rookie year, he threw him away.

I've watched almost all of Bob's games and he has had games and some on consecutive nights, where's he's turned away north of 35 shots. (like the Ducks game was 39 shots )
If they make it as the 8th seed, he can do some damage vs .Chicago. The only time Bob faced hte Hawks this year was in Mid March, Hawks threw 40 shots at him from eveyr angle, really peppered him. They won the game 2-1 in a shootout. That won't happen in the playoffs. I hope he gets nominated for a Vezina. He should get consideration for the Hart , I mean where woul dthey be without him? But he won't, goalies seldom do.

As for DUbinsky, Richards had more fights with him than anyone else, 6 now I think. Bad blood there. I hated him as a Ranger and that hasn't changed. I' m glad Richards went right after thim when he boarded Scuds earlier this year. Typical that he cheapshotted Dewey at the end of the game, when he didn't have to face the wrath of the Kings.

Actually, those two were 11th and 13th in their respective years.

I think that's the point he's trying to make, that at that position, they likely won't find a Kopitar or Brown (who both ended up falling into the Kings laps due to numerous teams reaching far in both their draft years).

It's funny to look at all of the first and second round blunders the Blue Jackets have had throughout their entire history.

I came away from the game impressed with Columbus' grit. Foligno would make a great 3rd liner on the Kings if he is ever available.

Exactly. The Kings finished 10th in the conference both of those years. Now, the Jackets problems also stem from the inability to truly cash in on those top 5 picks. Now, the Kings didn't cash in on Hickey, but Doughty and Schenn, they certainly became money in the bank for the franchise. Doughty through his play and Schenn being a tradeable asset.

lol @ all the C-Bus hate after one hard fought game. I was very impressed by the Jackets. They reminded me a bit of the Kings with less talent. Lots of grit and effort though. Like Jim Fox has said a few times, they have really changed their identity this year. I really hope they make the playoffs. Those fans deserve it.

Something about CBJ is that it seems they are always dangerous with the puck even though they don't get quality chances. weird. Glad they are in the east next year.

Yes they have and as soon as John Davidson took over, that was bound to happen. One of the smartest hockey guys in the business, and I think that new GM he hired will be a great asset. With 3 picks this year in the 1st, they can flip one for some top end offensive help.
They are fun team to watch, he really put his mark on them.

I agree with this.
They are fighting for a playoff spot, this is the intensity that I would want the kings to play with if they were in the same spot.
We should be able to expect the same from Dallas. At least they no longer have Fistric, Ott, and Morrow.

Yeah. That was a hard working team.

I think the problem Columbus had the last few years is named Rick Nash.

Dissagree. Nash is awesome. THeir issue has always been depth. Trading Nash got them depth.
Plus they picked up a goalie who can stop the puck.

Agreed. I would love to see them sneak in but they have more games played and less ROW so they are going to need help. Their fans deserve better than what they've gotten over the years.

Preach bro man , the only thing I disliked was the post game antics of Dubinsky on Doughty. But otherwise if we were the Columbus fanbase we'd be happy as pie at how 'our' team was chippy, gritty and hungry and played with heart etc.

I don't begrudge the Blue Jackets for playing the way they did last night or have recently, in fact what else would you really expect from a team of never beens that are fighting for their very playoff life. Good on them and good on the new management and their devoted fans, I for one hope they make the playoffs, it would be great for that franchise and fans, and great for the NHL, and personally I'm so sick of Detroit I just want them GONE for once, and Dallas is just as hot a mess as Columbus so why would you want Dallas over Columbus ? GO BJ's !

Columbus put up a great effort. The Kings have been facing teams who are trying to get as physical as they do. I don't think this works for most teams (especially Phoenix). Maybe SJ gets it done.

Columbus has very little talent to take advantage of any change their physical play creates.
