Yes but even when they did manage to get some time on the ozone, they didn't muster up much. A dump in, second man to the puck, and the puck was out of the zone. They're not doing anything with Panarin and Zibanejad's contracts. And even if they did, they're not replacing 200 points. It's piss in the wind.
Control what you can control and change what you can realistically change.
We've had an elite powerplay forever, so obviously these guys are capable when they have possession in the offensive zone. Let's get a defense corps that can get them to the offensive zone more than once or twice a period.
I don't think the first one and I sure as hell don't think the second one.Time for bed, you guys are all over the place tonight.
Our players are mostly terrible.
Our players have no fight or grit or desire.
This makes zero sense.
We got more points than anyone in the league (good players)
Even when dominated we refuse to collapse, take games to OT and are tied 2-2 in the conference finals (desire)
If everybody is crap they're fighting hell of a hard and it if they have no desire then they must be amazingly good players.
Meanwhile Bob is standing 200 ft away with his thumb up his ass for insanely long stretches having to do nothing.I'm feeling bad for Igor like I felt bad for Hank. Rangers getting outshot in this series by more than 30 shots is just insane to me.
at times yes, but so much of it was self inflicted. I just think of the play where trouba passes to mika, no one within 5 feet of him and he just fumbles the puck for no f***ing reason. and this shit happened all game. those are the plays that are driving me crazyIts crazy how Florida can just turn it into another gear like that.
Rangers played a great 1st period. I was thrilled. The last 40+ minutes were some of the most non-competitive playoff hockey I've ever seen this team play. They turned us into an AHL team.
I will also reiterate, Bob is due for a dogshit period where he lets in 4.
The team loves these garbage players. But you are right all three need to go. Build around Fox, Schneider and Jones and please draft a PMD this yearI don't think the first one and I sure as hell don't think the second one.
I think our defense is mostly terrible and that's kind of important.
Trouba, Miller, and Lindgren all have to go.
The demise of our penalty killing is a devlopment I wouldn't have predicted. It's been trash.
When Florida does that, we toss it out to center ice and they come right back in.Yes but even when they did manage to get some time on the ozone, they didn't muster up much. A dump in, second man to the puck, and the puck was out of the zone.
Ok but it’s on Panarin and Mika too, neither of them can impact the game at the level that is needed to win a cup. Both are soft, but also not particularly agile enough to create offense consistently, especially Zibanejad. The guy gets dummied every time he has to matchup against a legitimate top end center. So quite frankly if we are stuck with these guys, we aren’t winning shit. Zibanejad is as big an issue as Trouba is on defense. They're not doing anything with Panarin and Zibanejad's contracts. And even if they did, they're not replacing 200 points. It's piss in the wind.

Can someone tell me why we need to watch the Panthers' press conferences during our postgame after a loss?
This is kind of a weird take. You know what frustrates me.
The sulking.
Against NJ. They looked defeated. Camera over the bench looks like players sulking in defeat..
Game 5 against the Canes. Game 6 end of the 2nd against the Canes. They looked absolutely defeated.
Tonight. Pans to Mika. Looks absolutely defeated.
Are the leaders just mentally weak? Is it that hard to bounce back? They did in Game 6 3rd period. Was that a fluke? Or was that the never quit that we really need to show up.
Probably my least favorite Ranger ever. Sad because there was a time when it looked like he was going to be a really good players but it seems like he doesn’t care.Mika only takes to heart when he plays the wrong song. His level of care is bottom of the barrell. I've had it with this guy.

The difference in these two games is that one team has an NHL D corps that makes some mistakes but can create one and done situations, and the other team has an AHL D corps that literally can't make basic exits.
Florida are a great forechecking team and there are many instances where they're wreaking havoc. There are just as many instances where you are I could get the puck out of the zone and somehow, it still doesn't come out.
The problem with this team is 100% the defense.
