We might be on a permanent PK.

You may be right.

Yep.
The Rangers have to come out and score two to three in the first period. Play as if it's them about to be eliminated. Take the crowd out of it.

Then strap in and get ready for gong show. Last night will seem like a cheap rehearsal for what will be on display in Montreal.

Good luck!

I love that so many leaguewide fans think that we're on a "miracle run"

As if we aren't a higher seed than any other team in the playoffs

As if this team's record since it's horrible start wasn't one of the best in the league

As if we don't have a top 3 goaltender

As if we don't have a top 5 blueline

And as if we don't have one of the deepest most versatile sets of attacking forwards out there.

Really mystifying. It's like they don't know that we've made the playoffs more since the lockout in 04-05 than any other team in the East.

So what about Miller? Was he injured or benched, or a bit of both? I think I'd go with Fast next game, especially if Miller is played on the wing anyway.

Maybe switch Kreider and Pouliot as well?

Kreider-Brassard-Zucc
Hagelin-Richards-St. Louis
Pouliot-Moore-Nash
Fast-Boyle-Dorsett

Not sure I go messing with the lines. Just swap Fast for Miller if he is hurt. A lot of the flow was messed up from all the penalties. Guys like Kreider, Richards, Brassard, Dorsett are sitting for a lot of the game and it's hard to get into the game as if you are on the ice all the time.

The Brassard line you dont change. That's your number 1 line still.

Oh Brass :laugh::laugh:

lolololol

Hahaha, wow that looks awesome and uncomfortable.

I was at the Zoo in Columbia, SC today wearing my Richter tee and a Rangers cap. Got stopped by a guy also wearing a Rangers hat and we had a nice little chat about hockey. Rarity for complete strangers in the Carolinas. In the middle of it, some guy just walks by and says "Rangers are the better team" and just kept going. It was awesome.

It's not as uncommon as it used to be.

We were at City Chevrolet buying a new SUV on Saturday and I had a Ranger t-shirt on and someone from Rye, NY stopped and chatted a bit about the series.

A few years ago, we were in a Dick's Sporting Goods buying junior street hockey sticks for my then 3 year old daughter. Guy and his son are behind us. Guy asks us if we're hockey fans. A few words later, find out it's Mike Hartman from the 1994 team.

My peer/manager at Wells is a Caps fan, and there are a few on the other side of the floor who are Sabres and Caps fans, and they are all pulling for the Rangers.

So the Bell Centre was open for the game last night. Apparently they sounded the goal horn when Galchenyuk "scored" and everyone went nuts. Guess quite a few Complaniens fans went from euphoria to distraught in a matter of a few minutes. :)

Probably right. It's just an attempt to have Brassard as the 1st line center without breaking up the combo with Zucc. Although I guess these lines would be better at home, where we could matchup the Moore line against the Habs first pairing and line, while we'd try to explode their lower pairings with the speed of both Kreider and Zucc.

Half of our own fan base probably still don't appreciate it - a single loss and they are ready to jump off a ledge (main board) screaming about Lunqvist being overrated and not clutch, our defense not able to clear the crease or that our forwards don't have a consistent goto scorer etc etc.

CBC puts NBC coverage to shame. NBC probably only showed the goal and everything for about a minute.

The difference is that Jim Hughson knows how a call a goal without screeching like a schoolgirl, and then knows the moment is bigger than any words.

Olczyk and McGuire can't resist getting in a few words on top of the crowd. Olczyk wants everyone to know how upset he is with the result, as Emrick makes himself bigger than the game.

I don't understand just how AWFUL the lead American broadcasters on the National Telecasts have been for the past 25 years. Thorne had the perfect voice, but didn't do any kind of research or analysis on the game, and got way too confused. Emrick used to be a lot better, until someone cut off his *****, or something. The guy sounds like the way Britney Spears looks in "Hit Me Baby One More Time".

We have:
Kenny Albert
Dave Strader
Ralph Strangis
John Forslund
Howie Rose
Bob Miller

I'll even throw in J.P. Dellacamera,

that are all head and shoulders better than Emrick. How does Emrick continue to be the lead NBC broadcaster?

Congrats to the Rangers and MSL for getting the win last night. I love Marty - such a class act! It is tough when the reffing is so one sided.

Good luck in game 5! I hope you finish off those diving whiners tomorrow!

That's true, although I would say that it's much more common in Charlotte than anywhere else in the Carolinas other than the Triangle, maybe.

Still, it was a tourist attraction on Memorial Day Weekend, so maybe I shouldn't have been so surprised. I just love the random guy's quick interjection more than the conversation, even.

So its shoot high on Tokarski. MSL has beaten him high twice. Brassard beat him high. Hagelin beat him 5 hole. Pierre McGuire said there is room in the 5 hole. Tokarski comes out to challenge the shooter and cut down the angle. He goes down early. Tokarski lost his net a few times last night. Montreal takes away the cross crease pass. Tokarski got beat on the Nash goal moving side to side. Ray Emery had trouble going side to side and the Rangers feasted on the cross crease pass in the first 4 periods of the Flyers series. Even when Tokarski loses his net,Montreal does a good job taking away any options for the Rangers.

The Rangers need to play much more in game 5. Close out game. The Rangers haven't won a series in five games since 2008 against Jersey. The Rangers won games one and two on the road. Lost game 3 at home in OT. John Madden scored. Won game 4. Won game 5 on the road. Too many stupid penalties. Montreal won the Boston series on PP. They had 8 PPG in 7 games. They have 1 PPG in the first 4 games of this series. Some of their players play better in Montreal. Pacioretty was really good in Montreal. He was invisible in New York.

Jersey got the bounce of the puck in 2008

Rangers won game 4 and 5. Very similar script to this series. Rangers need to close out the Habs tomorrow night and get a week off.

We should go five hole when Gorges is on the ice though, that kid will stop everything that goes high.

On a serious note, MaxPac have had a boatload of luck this series, I don't think he has been that good besides the ping-pong goals...

It's because he sucks up during broadcasts, so I'd have to imagine he does off-air too. Last night, Pierre said something about what was going on around the benches, and Doc says "that's why we're glad you're there." Sucking up.

I just have to give big props to our neighbors to the North. I haven't seen it but I've heard rumblings from many posters how CBC is trying their darndest to make Montreal into "Canada's team" and trying to portray the Rangers as the villains who do nothing but wrong. A lot of Canadiens aren't buying it and are witnessing firsthand what the Scabs are capable of doing..along with their little refs.

There are lots of us up here who cannot stand the CBC's bias towards the Habs and you hit the nail on the head about how they portray every other team that plays them. It is laughable.

When you take into account the number of Bruins, Leafs and Sens fans alone that hate them, it is hard to believe they are "Canada's team" by any stretch of the imagination. They are not.
