I feel for Leafs older fan base.

The last time a Leafs team was down 0-3 and came back to win was 1942 (during World War II) and 81 years ago..

There are Leaf fans out there in their 90s right now saying "Dammit not this shit again" :wg:

Hope their hearts can take the stress. :)

Yiles !! you're right, 81 years ago, so there can only be a very small % of Leaf fans born in the 1930s still alive that witnessed the last amazing comeback or at least alive during the time it occurred.

My mom born Feb 1940 was just over 2 years old when last this 0-3 comeback was successfully pulled off by a Leafs team.

I've been a bit kinder to Keefe than most a lot of the time, but with the series on the line I literally can't understand the desire to stick with this PP set up.....

It's infuriating lol. ROR would be just fine on the 2nd pp. Keeping Nylander there is such an absolute waste - especially with a literal do or die scenario on Wednesday

The cool thing about Woll playing is that if we win tomorrow and he plays great, it's a whole new narrative, like the team gets to be born again.

Me too but that's over now, I've had it with him. If by some miracle we come back and win this series, I could see myself being on the Marner bandwagon once again but Keefe's another story, I'm pretty sure I'm done with him no matter what. OK if we win the cup I'll grudgingly accept him staying on as coach but ...

Mitch doth protest too much when it comes to media scrutiny. When it comes to Willy yeah I'll believe he truly doesn't give a f*** what's said about him, he's heard it all. Mitch though, when he's on about the media you know he's rattled, and that's no good.

I briefly met Marner during the prospect tournament the year he was drafted. The guy made a point of coming out to talk with fans, sign autographs, and take pictures. However, the first thing he did was promise he would get to everybody after he talked with a teen with a mental disability. He made a point to go to that fan first, spend twice as much time as any other player did, and still interact with every single other fan there.

The guy is a class act. f*** off with this bullshit you're spewing.

In a vacuum, Mitch is right that he and the team shouldn’t care what we fans or the media are currently sayings. We’re rightfully apoplectic and are carving these guys, they don’t need that negativity. I just flat out don’t believe him saying he doesn’t care or it’s not affecting him.

Frankly, while I agree that attacking him on a personal level is low hanging fruit, I honestly dgaf how nice he is off the ice. Not one iota. I would rather have a player that is a completely selfish, unlikeable asshole that puts pucks in the net in the playoffs than a "nice guy", mental midget like Mitchy. Being a nice guy in the NHL (or in life in general) rarely gets you anywhere, when that is your strongest virtue. People will merely take advantage of you. Just ask Kyle Dubas.
