What? Canada didn't have a shot in the first 7 minutes of action. Actually their first wave of shots had to come on the PP because they were getting creamed 5v5.USA dominated maybe the first four minutes of the first. If you’re watching that game and not seeing slanted ice for 55 minutes, I don’t know what to tell you. The only support you’ll find in this thread is Atticus.
Don’t be salty. Take the loss and move on.Amazed USA didn't play their best players and the game was this close.

that's not the rule though. it's determined by where the puck crossed out of the field of play. That's at the boards, not the glass behind the bench. It was above where the glass would be when it went out of play. It was a blown call. simple as that.
When any player or goalkeeper, while in his defending zone, shoots the puck directly (non-deflected) out of the playing surface, except where there is no glass, a penalty shall be assessed for delaying the game. When the puck is shot into the players' bench, the penalty will not apply. When the puck is shot over the glass "behind" the players' bench, the penalty shall be assessed.
How am I being salty, I'm stating a fact.Don’t be salty. Take the loss and move on.
After the first period it really didn’t look close at allAmazed USA didn't play their best players and the game was this close.
Maybe they should play their best players against Germany then.....sort of a weird strategy though...Amazed USA didn't play their best players and the game was this close.
Canada looked very fast overall. I thought they were the better team, but the USA were opportunistic. A guy like Kaliyev needs so little time to get a shot on net. Neither goalie was bad, nor excellent.
Hayton obviously enjoying playing with #11. I thought Veleno and Cozens looked good, and fast. Brink caught my eye a few times.
Dumb penalty by Dellandrea at a critical time. Surprised that Hunter had him out at the end...he's a better man than I.
Lol, what? They were both some of the best forwards for Canada today.
Not sure I agree; USA dominated first, Canada dominated second, and third was very even which ultimately came off a bad turnover by the Americans.

If you thought they were the better team, that's totally fair. However, to say dominated is hilarious, but I know who you are. You're just the Canadian version of Atticus, so it doesn't surprise me.
Just throwing this out there but maybe , those best players don't know how to defend and they would get eaten up... You can say they'd have the puck and dominate but .. probably not from where I sit anyway. I think there is a reason we are seeing the lines the way they are. Do those guys Zegras, Turcotte, Caufield, Kaliyev have offensive talent no question. Maybe there has been some evaluation by those responsible for putting together a lineup on their play outside the offensive zone. ..
Not sure that they have the overall 4 line depth either. Perhaps by loading up the first two lines they might be short the second two.
Lafreniere is amazing. For a player of his age, size, and skill to play such a hard-working, physical game is unheard of.
I would probably find a way to get at least Zegras and Caufield on PP1

That’s the worst insult ever leveled against me.What? Canada didn't have a shot in the first 7 minutes of action. Actually their first wave of shots had to come on the PP because they were getting creamed 5v5.

It was a one goal game. Canada didn’t have Dach or Dobson, USA didn’t have Hughes or Farabee. USA misused some of their best players. Let’s not make this into something it isn’t.That US program is starting to look overrated. If Canada had Dach to boot it would be embarrassing
