The kings took this game to us
No excuse for he lackluster effort up until the 3rd period. Just a bad game all around. Miller didn’t have his best game. Chytil makes me shake my head. Can’t blame it just on hm. No offensive pressure.
Games like this make you happy for the early season points

Did you see the lineup they iced tonight? McKegg, Brodzinski, Gettinger, Tinordi(don't know why). Only time those guys should see an NHL game again is from the stands. No Gallant, Shesty, Goodrow, Reaves, Hunt, Goat and Panarin's first game back. Plenty of excuses, not that anybody cares though.

Honestly, Gallant is undoing anything good he does by starting this guy. Even a blind person knows he sucks. f***, Gallant knows he sucks, he plays him almost never. But it's as if he feels he owes him something. Scoring a fluke GWG shouldn't keep you in the f***ing lineup. It's embarrassing. Gallant cost us this game. I assume he's the one setting the lineup even in Covid protocol.
He's only playing because Reavo is out. He's our substitute enforcer. If Reavo wasn't out,... there's no way he dresses while Lundkvist and Jones sit.

I mean we won the draw and got set up

Kings were just pressing hard instead of sitting back and then fired a lucky shot
I don't know about that. NHL players pretty much regardless of their salary can hit those empty netters from anywhere. Guaranteed they practice it a bit extra since pulling the goalie early is so common nowadays.

My big question is what the team is supposed to do in february while the Canadian teams and the Islanders play 10 games in 2½ weeks or so. Discuss lint?

We should have games vs Ottawa, Montreal and Detroit at some point in February. Those are the 3 ppd games that need to be scheduled.

May as well just accept it - we’re a .500 team without Shesterkin. I think some people undervalue just how freaking good he is because we’ve just come to expect good goaltending over the last decade. Team has made some strides overall, but they still live and die by 31.

The trap should be made illegal.

It's horrible for the game.

Whats worse is watching a team try and pass through it instead of breaking it down with skating. The trap isn't hard to beat if you let your dmen skate it to break it down. Saw too many instances of our d and even Fox standing still trying to hit someone by the red line with the puck.

I really would like to see Strome-Panarin broken up. It's blatantly obvious that Strome plays a different game with him. I thought his game while Panarin was out was extremely effective and really more of the style they want to play.

Our goalie had little to do with this loss, it was effort everywhere else but the net. The first period we worked and skated, the next 2 we were in mud.

Issue is need to get more out of Laf, Kakko, and Chytil. They were in this game till the end and just needed one more goal to tie it up in the end. If any of those guys step up maybe it’s the difference. Plus Panarin looked rusty as hell which is expected when you don’t play for a week.

This lost stung hate the Kings , up there with my hate for Vegas and NJ. Lol.

The Rangers problems from October are still their problems in January. They are horrendous 5v5. Why hasn’t anything been done to address that? I’m not talking about making a trade I’m talking about coaching and strategy. Sustained offensive zone pressure is a completely foreign concept for this team.

Plenty of space on the moon this morning for the K double G. For Joe Nemeth, Tin Cup, Johnny Polish and Tim GettTFouttahere.

Laf showed up and played real hard. Georgie was Excellent. Zib pushed. Rooney tried. Trouba and Foxy ( I think he's hurt) made some plays.

KK , Miller, Artemi, Strome. Yuck.

First big save by Cal early in the game on Strome actually made me say "Uh oh" out loud.

Vouches attainable from my cat and chocolate lab on that verbal.

The Rangers lost. Oh, my.

The Rangers aren't the best team in the NHL. Oh, my.

Lots of fans think if only the team would listen to them, they would be so much better. Yeah, that's reality.

Rangers are way better than everyone here figured they would be, but lots of fans who claimed they wanted lots of changes in order to get better eventually are now crying that they don't look great every game.

If they're not a major contender by next season there will be a legit reason to make major changes. As of now, they're ahead of schedule, despite the endless whining by the usual cast of characters.

Here are the players who have scored on this road trip
Zib x2
Kreider
Tinordi
Lindgren x2

So two forwards and two Dmen who probably aren’t going to be scoring again for the rest of the season

There’s not a worst team with the empty net than we are. No one comes close to as bad

not sure what to make of this statement. I believe we have scored 4 goals with the goalie pulled and that was the first goal we had given up.
