Lmao... it's becoming obvious that Strome is so concerned anout just getting the puck onto the net that he just keeps shooting it into the middle. I understand some people like the guy but to me he is the most overrated player on this team and that includes a lot of scapegoats. I reeeeally hope they don't re-sign this clown.

Yep the loss was on the guy that took the most shots.

Strome and Kreider were poor.
Panarin looked rusty and tried to force too much.
Laf was noticeable but doesn't look dangerous enough on most shifts (probably still should have had 2a)
Chytil started to play well from the end of the 2nd, looked woeful before that
All the depth guys really looked like depth guys
Not sure why we're playing Tinordi and Nemeth together (or at all)
The D just looked slow and listless all game. Couldn't make passes, couldn't take the body
Georgiev was solid

Crap game. Kings showed us what endevour and work-ethic should look like
I thought laf played very well

You have a third dpair playing 14-15 minutes a night when they should be playing five minutes.

On Gallant to let the kids make mistakes and see what they got or up to Drury to make it better.

The loss is on Nemeth, Tinordi, strome and panarin

Really? Just those 4? Miller floundering around on another goal against. Georgiev juicy rebounds all night. Our prodigy kids with a golden chance to do something, and they got outplayed by Jonny Brodzinski.

Bad all around.

How are we such a big team and no one heads straight to the net, bothers to hunt rebounds? If we're a bit slow, but big, why can't we freakin' play big??? Why don't we own the front of the net? Why don't we own the corners? It's nauseating how weak we were most of that game. How few puck battles we won. Not all the time, but a lot of the time, there's a real will issue on this team. I see Kakko out there, playing slow, not moving his feet. Not winning board battles like he should be. I see Strome waving his stick around at nothing. I see Chytil playing like a chicken with his head cut off and weak weak weak along the boards. Just weak sauce. Not good enough. At all. It's effort. It's deciding you're going to own the game. You're going to take space. Not wait for it. This team needs to reverse some bad habits that have been seeping into the entire roster. Yeah, I'm frustrated. Not so much at the talent level or the skill level, but the effort. They can be so much better than this. But it starts with owning your own space out there.

that second goal was garbage - Tinordi behind the net for no reason

Honestly, Gallant is undoing anything good he does by starting this guy. Even a blind person knows he sucks. f***, Gallant knows he sucks, he plays him almost never. But it's as if he feels he owes him something. Scoring a fluke GWG shouldn't keep you in the f***ing lineup. It's embarrassing. Gallant cost us this game. I assume he's the one setting the lineup even in Covid protocol.

We played 12 minutes of active hockey tonite - we didn’t deserve a point .

this was a game Lafrenniere &. Kakko
Needed to step up an assert themselves as RANGERS instead they played like PROSPECTS.

KAM has the intensity of Petr Popovich

Georgiev is pushing Shesterkin as the starter - yes I said that .

Knoblauch never used his timeout - he was poor tonight.

Fox looks ordinary

They looked tired out there. Long road trip that still has 2 games left. Most road games in the league right? Plus a useless bottom 6 due to Covid. They get a pass.

The kings took this game to us
No excuse for he lackluster effort up until the 3rd period. Just a bad game all around. Miller didn’t have his best game. Chytil makes me shake my head. Can’t blame it just on hm. No offensive pressure.
Games like this make you happy for the early season points

I totally agree. Only one exception I have. Chytil hunted the puck well. Which is why he was moved up late in the game. He was quicker to the loose pucks than his opponents. I didn't notice him in 50-50 battles along the boards, but I did glaringly notice anytime Laffy was challenged along the boards, he gave it up with a whimper. Strome and Panarin cycled the puck, kept control under pressure and the minute they gave it to Laffy, the Kings are going the other way.

Winning boards battles is actually a skill that can be learned. If you watch Foxy, he is a master at it. He is so strong on the puck, you cannot stop him from making a play, kicking it out to his teammates while under heavy pressure. He is just so talented in so many different areas of the game.

But I agree. We didn't match the Kings effort. It was clear they were a step faster than us all over the ice. And it doesn't seem we want to go to the tough areas of the ice, whether in front of our own net or theirs.
