I think you are misunderstanding me now and misunderstanding the scouting reports from 2015. I'm not saying anything here other than that he is far better than what one typically gets at #8OA. Jarmo might have expected him to be elite (either #1 or elite elite, whatever), but if everyone did he never would have made it to #8.
He is not "meeting expectations" so far. He is surpassing them, by a large margin. You don't get expected elite players at 8, you get guys with elite upside.
