Mike Komisarek trolls the Canucks bench after drawing Richardson into an ill-advised glove drop.

Was disappointed the Canucks didn't take a team picture with that face for Komisarek after we won

Better game, Lack and Tanev stood out to me as having particularly good games, and you have to credit Kesler for 2 goals. We give him a lot of guff when he doesn't score, so we should give him equal-types praise when he does.

Tanev was the main goat in both goals. Couldn't protect the crease in the first one, and allowed the breakaway AND the rebound in the second goal. He bounded back afterwards, though.

Props to Lack from goalie expert analyst Kevin Woodley:

Component of Lack's game I really like but have yet to mention: catching pucks in front of pads. Every time does it is one less rebound

While Lack definitely needs a little more polish in some areas, I have been fairly impressed with him given that we're seeing his first NHL action. Especially considering every single start of his short career has been on the 2nd half of a back to back, often with a 2+ week layoff in between.

Trade Edler and a forward (Booth, Burr, Higgy, Hansen etc) + some picks/prospects to Carolina for Skinner and Murphy and we hypothetically solve all our problems...

So coach what did you make of the early boarding call and scrum?

"For us, playing a back-to-back, it was good they came at us early. It woke us up." - Tortorella

And the two quick goals against early in the second period?

"It's not about having a group hug after. It's about getting tougher, grabbing a hold of ourselves and finding a way."

And how about Kassian being a healthy scratch?

"Zack has all the tools, it's a matter of seeing what's happening on the ice and moving his legs."

And the Canucks player of the game? The Zacman.

should guarantee that kassian sits another game, which is pretty deserved based on his recent efforts

when you're being outplayed on your own team as a power forward by tom sestito then you should probably take a step back and have a think about your game

In Kassian's case it may be too much thinking on the ice and not enough instinct and reaction.

A common issue with young players.

Off to Nashville the #Canucks go. "No chance I'd fly there in that!"

He's looked pretty good...I'm a bit concerned about his tendency to get pulled out of his crease while down in his butterfly...he's overplaying a little bit. Not something that can't be worked on but its something I've noticed.

I really noticed that today too.

He was bailed out a couple of times by his team mates.

He seems like another player who has all the tools, just needs to put them together. He's big, he's flexible, he can play the puck and pucks don't seem to go through him on a clear shot. If he can just work on his positioning, and not letting rebounds get poked in, he could be a starter somewhere down the line.

Just caught the last 2 minutes and a few highlights, but wow, Burrows basically saves the game and Kesler with 2 goals. Nice to see. Also, probably already mentioned, but Tortorella playing the Sedins in the last minute to protect the lead really shows that he trusts them.

Probably similar to his face when the Leafs bought him out.

I'm still fairly certain that's what Bieksa was yelling at him between benches - I thought I read his lips saying "you're a buyout, you're a (expletive deleted) buyout".

It's pretty obvious you don't understand....it's not impressive to come away with a win against bottom feeding teams, if you are a good team it should be expected to happen more often than not. I'll be impressed when we start to win against the better teams in the league.
So, essentially, you would be dissatisfied no matter what the result of this game was. Good to know. Thankfully, they're not playing to "impress" fans, but to win games.

So basically you're complaining about this game due to a thing that has nothing to do with this game and that could not be changed today.

What could they have done today that would have made you not moan about this particular game? Free cupcakes? Line brawl? Dancing?
