AV4 - Garrison tried his best to get shots on the net. Hopefully when we get more chances we will finish (does not sound concerned). Again AV sounds happy. (Conference over)

He's still more right than wrong. The Canucks were clearly much better in the 1st two. If they had have come out of those two periods leading 3-1 nobody would have thought it was undeserved. They created scoring opportunities (lack of finish) and got into quite a few good scoring situations (lack of execution).

But nothing is going to change with regards to the finishing until we get some decent centres on the middle lines.

That has to do with our 8-2-2 start and their inability to take more games to OT. They have 3 more regulation/OT wins than we do, which is pretty significant.

Point being that the Canucks are 2 points behind and there are 19 games left. I doubt Minnesota wins them all or even at the clip they currently are.

I also dont expect the Canucks to win 3 of their next 16 either.

He was planned to come up and play and then preformed well, the Leafs werent in a major losing streak in which basically their entire team is playing bad and made a desperate callup. I bet he becomes the goal like Sven in C Baertschi in Calgary

To turn this season around: start Schroeder on the second line, play him on the 1st PP unit. Make sure he gets 25 minutes a game, but only put him out with legit all stars. Oh, and acquire Kyle Wellwood to play behind him.

I think they are. Their best ain't real good, so new players are needed. Lots of shots no goals in the first half. Exhausted and over-matched in the second half. That's their best.

I'm just as upset about the team and with AV, but harping on him for his comments about the faceoffs?

What's he going to do? Stand over their shoulders and shout "draw harder!!!"

At some point, it comes down to execution by the players. Quite frankly, without Manny and without replacing him, we're a poor faceoff team.

FFS we're 27th in the NHL. That's embarrassing from where we used to be.

27th in Faceoffs, 16th in PK and 27th in PP... Barely top 10 in 5 on 5 scoring now.

All completely unacceptable for a team that's supposed to be a cup contender.

For a team that claimed they wanted to create and foster an atmosphere of winning this needs to change soon or people should lose jobs.
