Tor 5-2 or 5-3 if our offense is having a hot night. We simply do not have the speed, skill, or forward depth to match up with these guys. We also do not have the firepower to exploit their average d and goaltending. We all also know that the officiating will be biased and terrible. The Leafs will get six power plays at minimum. Until Pasta gets healthy, we will not have much offense. God knows when he can get healthy again. And for the Love of God, bring Lorhei back, move Grz down and sit Shatt. You can sit Forbort instead for all I care but that might hurt the pk. It would, however, make it easier for Grz.

Why the turnaround from your usual gloom and doom?

Bruins getting a former Toronto Marlies player as ref

But good to scout on Nylander who probably is Bruins target if isn’t signed

If DeBrusk signed forget it

DeBrusk at 6.5-7 or Nylander at 11 the question

Looking forward to the Bs being ready to play with intensity from the start and keeping it going for the entire game. Normally don't hit bars to watch games, but don't have the NHL network and need to watch this game! We'll probably need to recruit some new B's fans though.

JDB eating 7 mil in cap just doesn’t feel like part of a winning formula.

A team with Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares and the only guy we're worried about is Reaves?

The team would be beyond screwed if they gave nearly as much attention to Reaves as a certain poster.

if Reaves is playing more than 5-6 minutes tonight, the Leafs are in trouble and Sheldon "Puffy" Keefe should be fired, the guy is all but useless
Yep was talking about my buddy who's a Leafs fan last night and he can't stand Reaves. Says he doesn't do anything, including hitting anymore. Reminds me a lot like the version of Backes we had - even if the willingness is there I don't think he's quick enough to get hits off anymore. Amazing they signed him for 3 years, his agent must be the best.

Reaves might not be playing

DeBrusk is tough call - I like him and he’s a smart player but Nylander & Pastrnak could get you 80-100 goals

The center group is way way way out kicking their cost

That could have gone better.

I like Jake quite a bit, but if you can get Nylander you do it no questions asked. He’s frequently Toronto’s best player.

Frederic is likely going to have to answer the bell vs Reaves tonight. Too bad we don’t have Lucic for this one.

If Keefe is dumb enough to put Reeves out when Marchand in on the ice the Bruins should take it as an opportunity to make him look silly by scoring. Reeves isn't going to go out and Bertuzzi someone.

Toronto’s mismanagement stems from overpayment of 4 people. Nylander is 25% of that problem. We repeat Toronto’s mistake if we then pay two guys 11m each. Not worth it for a one-time 40 goal scorer. Would rather have two 20s and put the rest on a gift certificate.

Ouch
