Where ? to the mall? The guy was throwing cheap shots all night to Bery and Pasta. McQuaid should have came in throwing. He's in the line up to be tough and keep the opposing teams tough guys honest

This is funny, one goal game or tied game and you want McQuaid to go in throwing, 2 +10 +5, yup that's smart hockey right there. If Engelland was so eager he would have had the gloves off. Fighting is not what is needed right now, at least instigating one, goal scoring is. Do you have a copy of his job description.

Woke myself up to watch this one, I had to fight to stay awake

Every year I work abroad I tell myself I will watch fewer Bruins games due to lack of success and the time zone, and every year I discover I am a masochist.

Only one positive, Pastrnak might be that elite offensive talent we lacked.

Youre in a rebuild regardless of coach or whether people want to own up to it or believe it. The roster is **** poor. So sure fire him. Bring in another Ftorek, Bowman, Kasper, Sullivan, Keenan, etc.. Ive seen them come and go. But to think that simply firing Claude will fix this is laughable to me.

Although I do believe that one good thing would come of firing Julien. It would ultimately expose that the man behind the curtain, Cam Neely, doesnt know his ass from his elbow about what hes doing.

There is a very good chance that simply firing Claude (and Sacco) won't fix what ails this team.

But even if they finish dead last this season, unless your veteran core (37, 46, 63, 33, 42) start asking to leave, they aren't going all fire sale on them. I didn't include Tuukka because moving him is exactly the type of short-sighted move I'd expect out of this organization at this point.

How is Clode still putting out Hayes and how is DS not doing something in that regard

Is there even another option right now?

Correct if wrong but bruins only have 12 healthy forwards on the roster.

Giving Julien another option is up to Sweeney.

And he needs to bring someone to replace Jimmy's position. We all know Julien is a stickler for that.

I don't put too much blame on Julien. He is who he is at this point, and he's had success. I blame the men handling this roster. If you asked me how many of these guys I would cut tomorrow if their were no cap repercussions, about half this roster would go. Beleskey, Nash, Hayes, McQ, K. Miller, Liles, possibly Krug. I'm sure there's people that would consider Krejci also.

Enough of this "deep" play-off run talk and championship dreams. This is a borderline play-off team if everything goes swimmingly. Scrap all these old dudes, play the young guys. If we miss, ok we as a fanbase can live with it because we can see the big picture. But this is garbage. We'll be lucky to back in and then we'll be even more lucky when we get throttled by Washington or NY or Montreal or TB.

Also, K. Miller sucks. That has never not been the case.

Extended postgame just started on NESN - Jack is seething

Which I could check it out, but Center Ice cuts away as soon as the game ends.

It was another loss in another less-than-entertaining game. The offense is the biggest problem right now. Every team makes defensive mistakes, every game. Not all of them result in goals, but when the offense is only scoring one, the ones that do end up costly.

The one power play yielded seven shots on goal. That's impressive, but how many of the seven required spectacular saves? Krug's shot is getting through more, but it's easy to see and not fooling anyone.

I'd like to see a timer clock how long the puck is on the stick before Bruin players shoot. The goalies are stopping all these shots because they are square and in excellent position, due to the B's taking too long.

Well I don't see this team making the playoffs, they need a shake up.

Honestly, and I hate to say this, but I hope they don't make the PO's. Maybe one more year of mediocrity will open managements' eyes, and they'll shake up this team.

Then again, probably not.

Who's talking playoffs besides the FO? Again, this is what your going to get this year. It'll be this way till the end. The sooner people realize this the less pissed they will get. Most people here are smart. They don't have the horses.

Curious about others' takes on the overturned goal (sorry, I wasn't reading the GDT). I thought it was BS, and am getting tired of bruins goals getting overturned on marginal replays.

I agree with that in bold, though I don't have the exact rule on the tip of my tongue.

At the intermission Dale Arnold seemed to be suggesting that if Marchand's hit on Giordano is legal and just happens to take the goalie out of the play (who has wandered well outside his crease), the play should be a good goal. Otherwise it should be interference on Marchand.

Billy Jaffe wouldn't get totally on board with that. I also flipped over to NHL Network where Scott Gomez was having a good laugh about it, saying Marchand 'Knows you can't do that.' This makes me wonder if Marchand's reputation came into play here at all.

In the video Fenway posted Marchand refused to comment on the play, saying Claude already did. So I don't know if Julien reprimanded Marchand for it, though Julien himself seemed unusually livid about the call.

Yup TD Garden is not a fortress. Instead of being impregnable, it's quite pregnable! Sooo what's the solution besides -- let's accept that we suck, wait for next year?

I dont think changing the coach will do squat.

The D is weak.
Bergeron having an off year.
One line of offense.
DoMo one of our top scorers.
Hayes sucks. I mean really, really sucks.
Krugs game has disappeared.
If not for Rask sub 500 lottery team
Oh, did I mention Hayes sucks?

Nobodys making chicken salad out of this season.

Completely agree. Julien is trying to build a house with popsicle sticks. Sure, with enough glue and planning it will work but it's so fragile that one push and the entire team folds.

Here's the reality check:

The win against Tampa Bay in the SO is the only good team this year the Bruins have beaten. Florida was on the rocks and injured. Every other win was against subpar teams and they have lost to any teams we would consider playoff calibre.

When you actually look at who they beat, it really is a scary scenario looking at the schedule ahead when they play good teams. FYI, if you are looking for the good teams that they have played so far, look at the un-bolded losses.

How much longer do we have to suffer with CJ as coach of the Bruins?

I haven't been able to get interested in this boring Julien coached team this year.....I just can't take it anymore.
