I heard a great quote today from Ray Ferraro who covered the Bruins snoozer last night:

He said the Stanley Cup Finalists in 2011 are in the exact same position with the window closed.

The sad thing is, only one team knows it.

Boston?

Because Vancouver are in bigger denial than the Bruins are about their current situation.

And are in much worse shape.

But as far as windows being closed for both, he may be right.

Someone should have told the Bruins to stop shooting from the blueline out. They could have had 5 tonight if they went for wrap-arounds, instead. That's Chad's Achilles Heel.

And I'll repeat what I said before the GDT closed: in 18 games, Bergy has 5 points while playing almost exclusively with Marchand and Pastrnak. Krejci, coming back from off-season surgery, sucking AND sucking wind at times, has 12.

They showed up a little too late but still continue to make too many passes and waste PP opportunities by doing the same thing over and over again.

Something needs to change whether it's the lines, lineup(call ups), coach, or a trade.

If clode is shown the door take sacco too and I do not care the least. I have been a fan longer then claude knew he was going coach and a long time after his is gone. I do not care who hires him next and how long. They did not in Montreal or Jersey and they went on to be alright. Treating him like a god and he is the only one is very cult like, its sports get over it. Lets start playing entertaining hockey not soccer on ice, sick of 3 years of excuses

So T'giving has come and gone and the B's aren't in a playoff spot. What happens now? Will Claude finally get his walking papers? Not that it will improve this team, but Jacobs may force Sweeney's hand, change for change's sake.

Clode Fired Hayes sent down Krecji on the 9th DeBrusk up

Are you trippin' ouit?:sarcasm::laugh:
We're just squeezing our sticks too much. Ok clode.

They're squeezing something too much that's for sure.

It's looking as though ALL of those things NEED to be implemented! Krejci's last slapshot from the point was PATHETIC!

Curious about others' takes on the overturned goal (sorry, I wasn't reading the GDT). I thought it was BS, and am getting tired of bruins goals getting overturned on marginal replays.

Fun place to play for opposing team.

Pre Chara soft. Its been years since a player like Deryk Engelland would come in and beat up the Bruins.

Not a player wearing the bruins uniform wanted anything to do with him including tough guy Adam McQuaid.

God help this group if Chara is out long term! Remember the garbage management feed the fans on how "tough" they where going to be to play against ?

Soft perimeter hockey team that wants no part of crashing the net to pay a price, none.

I dont think changing the coach will do squat.

The D is weak.
Bergeron having an off year.
One line of offense.
DoMo one of our top scorers.
Hayes sucks. I mean really, really sucks.
Krugs game has disappeared.
If not for Rask sub 500 lottery team
Oh, did I mention Hayes sucks?

Nobodys making chicken salad out of this season.

Looked to me like McQuaid was willing to go with Engelland.

Maybe not.

But you can't fire all of the players.

They aren't about to start a tear-down rebuild.

And trades are hard.

So what option is left?

10 years, 2 seasons out of the playoffs with an epic collapse in both seasons.

It's time.

As long as he takes Sacco with him.

Where ? to the mall? The guy was throwing cheap shots all night to Bery and Pasta. McQuaid should have came in throwing. He's in the line up to be tough and keep the opposing teams tough guys honest

Youre in a rebuild regardless of coach or whether people want to own up to it or believe it. The roster is **** poor. So sure fire him. Bring in another Ftorek, Bowman, Kasper, Sullivan, Keenan, etc.. Ive seen them come and go. But to think that simply firing Claude will fix this is laughable to me.

Although I do believe that one good thing would come of firing Julien. It would ultimately expose that the man behind the curtain, Cam Neely, doesnt know his ass from his elbow about what hes doing.

This place is too negative.

Positives:

They scored a goal
Jimmy Hayes, my favorite hockey player, got on the score sheet
No one will flood the Out of Town thread with anti Dougie posts
It's only Friday night, while day Saturday to look forward too
Some day we will all be dead, maybe soon

I hope they play hard against TBL and get at least a point. Then the schedule is very winnable with the next 7 games against PHI, CAR, BUF, FLA, WSH (hardest; maybe save Tuukka for the 2nd game of the back-to-back), COL, and TOR. The goals will come.
