Time to put up or shut up.
It´s up to the boys to show, on the ice, that they WANT IT more than Tampa.
 
I don't want to be a total homer, but to those saying the leafs showed no spirit at all it clearly wasn't true. They sucked in the first, but scored 2 consecutive and honestly had most of the momentum, if it wasn't for the non slash slash call then it could have been a 50/50 result, but instead it became a carnival.

Usually I want the games called fairly, but tbh if that's what the refs think is fair I'd rather they just swallow their whistles for a game (barring the most ridiculous stuff) and see what happens.

Anyways I hope for a good game as I try to convince myself the outcome doesn't matter so much like I do every year...
 
Marner and Matthews need to be better? They had 5 points and were on the plus side of things in a 7-3 loss! What more do you expect from them? Keefe might want to give less icetime to however.

You don't understand, their mere existence should make our new third and fourth liners perform twice as good as they would otherwise and inspire everyone on the team to never take penalties or else what are we spending those ten millions for.

Do something special? Lead the team to victory? I don’t know. When 2 of those 5 points coming once the game was 7-2, it doesn’t make their night very special at all.

Hopefully the NHL got their cheating out of the way, and we can have an actual series from here on out.

Expecting the Leafs to come out big.
 
I'd agree with the posters who are calling for dominance from Matthews and Mitch. They need to carry the team. We need them to look like Brayden Point did. This shouldn't be a lofty ask. Matthews won league MVP last year and it's not good enough to play good defense, we need them to be tilting the ice when they get set up. They need to be generating way more offense.

Empty-calorie points...some of which were when the game was out of reach. They need to be the two best players on the ice tonight.

You really shouldn't dump on a guy with mental health issues .. really only makes it worse for those guys .. more anxiety/pressure they face da worse da mental health becomes

As if there wasn't enough pressure, TB is 10-0 in closing out series when they go up 2-0 all time. They are also 13-2 when winning the first game, and have won 7 series in a row when going up 1-0. Leafs are finished if they lose this one.

Win or it’s a sweep. Simple. Show the f*** up. Game starts at 7pm with 20 minutes showing the scoreboard. Not with 18 or 19 or 15. SHOW THE f*** UP. Or don’t and get swept whatever you want

Somebody needs to tell the Leafs the playoffs started a few days ago. Enough of the coach saying we need need urgency like it’s a November game. And take the mic away from Marner with his same as always comments until they win a round. It shouldn’t need to be said anymore. If you haven’t figured it out by now…

If they don't speak people will get on them for that. They need to be smarter with their comments though.
Mitch and Keefe aren't the sharpest spoons.
