Let me the first to respond to the “suck it haters” posts if someone actually does something tonight, suck eggs :)

They deserved every single sub atomic particle of scorn they received. Tonight is a new chance, and I suspect we show up and play hard.

How on earth is in the coach to have the team motivated for a playoff game on home ice? That is on the players who waited all year to prove something then played like that.

With that said, we got the yips out of the way in this series I am thinking we win the next 3 games straight
Keefe said it wasn't nerves and he wasn't sure why the team started like it did (it was obviously nerves). Also the morning of the game he said they try to treat it like a 'regular game day', which is strange because the magnitude of this series is so huge. The team needs to be jacked up and realize what's at stake.

He doesn't seem like someone who has a pulse on what's going on.

Sadly this is going to 6 or 7 games IMO. I still think we're winning though. This team has always needed a kick in the ass from time to time, just happy it was game 1 and not an elimination game this time
Yeah forsure. Let's hope that was by far their worst game.

Everyone knows they are way better than whatever that bullshit is. Despite the refs or anything else... they didn't have it last game at all. Time to step it up.

And I agree in 5 would be nice but I called 6 at the start. Just get a W tonight and go from there.

Tavares with Nylander aaagaaaiin! WTF! Like watchin a bumblebee tryin to get through a closed window.

No more coaching 4u Keefe!

First Keefe isn't about to openly discuss the phycology of the team in the media in the middle of a series. First he was criticized for saying too much earlier in the year, now too little. I couldn't disagree more I think Keefe knows the players and team inside and out. The problem is there is nothing him or any coach can do to unlock the potential at this point that hasn't already been done.

It's on the players to block that shot, to take the hit, to score when they are alone in front. IDK how people can say it's a coaching problem we've had 2 coaches on complete opposite ends of the spectrum and the result is the same. We've replaced the GM the result is the same. We've changed every depth player multiple times and tried every combination of speed, skill, slow, old, young, gritty, etc and it hasn't mattered.

We need the team to show up, play with structure and pride(what was so disgusting last game to me was the lack of that) and we need to run these f***ers out of our building both with goals and with hits.

f*** the refs and f*** 2004. GLG

Furlatt is apparently the ref who made the call on the Holl pick. GREAT WERE DONE, PACK IT IN BOYS

:sarcasm:

Apparently, Furlatt is the ref from the game where Bunting was getting assaulted and no calls were made, and Keefe said Kyle was going to talk to the league after. He also reffed game 7 last year with McCauley last year with that infamous 'pick' call, amongst other bad calls.

So not sure this is much better.

So we dig through the list and we're now hoping for... SKILLITER?!?!?!

We're so f'd lol

And thank you for the info!

We get the refs we get. The game hasn't happened yet, let's not start worrying about the refs already.

Oh no, they have a slightly losing record when one particular refs their playoff games. It’s not because the team itself is below .500 overall in the playoffs. It’s the refs who have it out for Toronto for some reason. Bettman hates the Leafs. Give me a break! Focus on the players and the team, not who refs the games. If they make a bad call, doesn’t mean there is a “conspiracy”. Don’t care who the refs are.

0-8 with McCauley is more than slightly losing.

There's mo ey and it's easy for a few calls to be debatable and have a huge impact on the game. It's not like refs and judges in other sports haven't been dirty.
Looking at NBA and Liga
Even in the lower ranks there's corruption everywhere. Not sure why NHL refs being perfect is assumed.

If they go into a game saying bunting dives so we won't call anything than something is wrong. Some of the dirtiest NHL players pick up hardly any extra penalties
