I've seen a couple people comment on how Giordano is looking worn out and tired, and this started well before the playoffs.

I couldn't agree more, he legit looked shot in game 1 - which makes it all the more mind boggling why they didn't load manage him. I hate this organization so much sometimes.
Playing with Holl screws guys over .. Gio would look much better with a more skilled and faster player

He was truly amazing. Even Ronnie Francis was great on the 4th line.
Leetch was insane. Even in the twilight of his career during his stint with us he oozed pure 'class'.

Was clearly a tier above Kaberle who's the best we've had in the past 20 years.

Checked how many games he played as a Leaf. 15 regular season. 13 playoff. Crazy.

Checks out with eye test. Keefe needs his vision checked.

Roll with:
Jarnkrok-Matthews-Nylander
Knies-Tavares-Marner
Kerfoot-O’Reilly-Acciari
ZAR-Kampf-Lafferty

It isn’t rocket science.
This. When Bunting is back, move Kerfoot to line 4 to replace ZAR and Bunting goes line 3 with ROR & Acciari.

Then you are a better person than me my friend
Nah, I've just freaked out far too many times over my 32 years of life over this team. At the end of the day, we as fans should model what we want from our players. I recognize how the way I choose to support the team has zero impact on the team itself, but at the end of the day I can't ask the players to stay calm and focused on the task at hand if I support them in the most manic of fashions. It would be a complete contradiction of my words to my actions.

That's the way I see it at least.

that said, it is pro sport, and these guys get into the profession knowing th praise and criticism that comes with that. I will dish out the criticism like any other fan, I am just trying harder to keep it on the rails the past couple years

True but winning this series could get it closer to that again. Here's hoping.
That was hockey back then. Can you imagine Cernak playing against Roberts? Ive seen kids get hit harder with a dodge ball than the little poke he took. Murray fell on his ass and out for weeks.

Ive also been a fan since early 70's so I know the pain. But I disagree wiyh your assesment.....I want the boys to get out of their comfort zone and stop being so relaxed. I want them to care and get worked up as much as I do. Play like your life depends on it with everything you got...do that and lose and I can live with it....play like they did in the 3rd period of last game when down and I have a harder time living with it.

Imo he tried to sell it and hurt himself on the fall.

I get trying to be safer now due to some scary injuries in the past and I'm not saying its the case here ... but its happened enough where teams hold out guys after taking a hit ... league suspends the other guy a bunch of games... then the guy is back after missing 1 game or none sometimes.

The Murray one was a freak one. I think it was more a snap of the neck when he came down.

With Cernak though we'll see. Too many games for that though.

This season at 5v5:

Matthews and Marner without Nylander or Tavares: 28 GF, 20 GA

Matthews and Nylander without Marner or Tavares: 35 GF, 11 GA

Tavares and Nylander without Matthews or Marner: 16 GF, 18 GA

Tavares and Marner without Matthews and Nylander: 27 GF, 14 GA

Not only did Matthews-Marner and Tavares-Nylander not worked out the last 3 playoffs, but it was also the worse option this year. So of course we’re gonna stick with it.
If only we had some people from our management who were able to track and interpret data and analytics to help us avoid scenarios that have proven over and over again to be ineffective and incorporate it into our game plan.

It would be neat-o if we could use stuff like that to figure shit out for games to try to win.....

Definitely going into this game with a different attitude.

I allowed myself to get excited for Game 1, and even if we lost, I'd still be pretty pumped for Game 2. But given how we lost, I'm less optimistic and more... tired, I guess?

I'm going again tonight and not nearly as excited as Tuesday. Nervous I guess and not going to be surprised if they lose. If they win I'll be right back though lol.

Could have had both, but they decided to stand pat after picking up first round pick for Sandin. I think RoR was a great pickup, but they should have done more

Yes. And here we are now stuck resorting to Kerfoot in a top 6 role again. Boston have Taylor Hall on their 3rd line, Avs had Lehkonen last year, Tampa with Coleman and Gourde the year before.

Need a legit scoring option in bottom half of roster, Dubas simply doesn't understand this.

He was one move short at the deadline.

Have you considered drinking?

God Tampa has some cocky ass fans, understandably so after the last three years, but still annoying as hell.

Just win tonight and plant a seed of doubt in their heads please!

Brian Leetch was unbelievable during his short time as a Leaf, I was gutted when he signed with Boston.
