I hate it when Kerfoot is in the top 6. Dude is a offensive black hole most of the time. Him and Knies should switch imo.
The game hasn't started yet and already Keefe is going to be outcoached.

Kerfoot in the top 6 is a joke. There is already an extensive track record of no results with him with Tavares and Nylander, but of course that will change with all the open ice that's available in the playoffs.

Gio-Holl is going to get absolutely feasted on by Tampa. Holl is deep inside his own head and playing scared and Gio is 39 years old and looking tired, like he's looked for the past month.

Keefe will be the undoing of this Team, and possibly Dubas. He should have been gone 2 years ago, but we are still looking at the same stink heap here, with us having the inferior coach.

Hoping for the best, but I'm already mentally checking out if Keefe is going to just do the same stupid shit over and over again. Not even bothering putting the Leaf flags on the cars and outside on the flag pole like I usually do.

This year just feels like I'm at a crossroads. After over 50 years cheering this team from my heart and soul, it just feels different, and not in a good way.

I would love to see Brodie throw some hits he has been awful the last while.

Every leaf should be hitting the Tampa players.

Only game two but they are falling apart health wise.
3rd period of the last game was a good time to start this strategy but for some reason we did not.

I love the thread title.

Is this fiction, or based on a true story?

Need to come flying out the gates tonight, need to get at them right off the start.
Defense needs to get tighter and we need to be disciplined.

We got this, GLG!

Boggled my mind they werent load managing Gio. But what do I know.
Agreed but wasn't there an article or someone who had said that Gio specifically did not want rest because it takes him too long to ramp his body up again? Not that the player should be dictating anything but a 39 yr old vet former norris winner saying rest is worse than playing too much is tough for the coach to go against.

No they don't. If Tampa wins, it's a 2-0 series, takes 4 games to win.

With that being said, Leafs in 5.

No chance in hell we start the game off worse than last time. No chance in hell the calls are as bad as they were last game. No chance in hell Samsonov is as bad as he was last game. No chance in hell Holl was as bad as he was last game. Everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong. Meaning the only way we can trend is upwards.

Leafs are going to come out strong after that embarrassing loss and remind everyone why they are the favorites in this series. If the Marlies can beat the Lightning, the big boys can easily handle them. It was 1 game, a brutal game but just 1 game. Doesn't matter if you win 10-0 or 2-1 in triple OT. At the end of the day you need 4 Ws, we get the first one tonight and keep going.
Are you sure it’s not a best of three?

-----------------

1. Jarnkrok - Matthews - Nylander

2. Knies - O'Reilly - Marner

3. Kerfoot - Tavares - Acciari

4. ZAR - Kampf - Lafferty

I love this.
But from past experience,
that's a guarantee it wont happen.

Keefe doesnt have the stomach for this, especially playing Tavares where he should be 3C.

if you swap Nylander and Marner, it could be something Keefe does ... maybe ... kinda.

He needs to stop overcoaching. Every decsision he has made has backfired
He should just do the opposite of what he thinks should do

I was at the media availability again today. Keefe looks so stressed. Didnt look promising.

Cooper on the other hand was so confident, the guy has an amazingly pozitive vibe around him. This guy knows what he is doing and where his team is at.

Went to the locker room as well because the interview with O'Reilly and Schenn was there. It was shocking, seeing the place of Matthews Tavares Marner etc, and the whole thing.

O'Reilly was the only person who didnt really look nervous to me, just all business. Schenn was really nice but I think he also feels the pressure that it is Toronto now again.

Awesome experience.
Keefe’s job is on the line.
Cooper probably thinks he’s winning the series now
