It's this for me . . . literally the worst combo for the team.

SO clear to me that the most important lynchpin to team success is getting Tavares going 100% with Marner . . . then after that, you put Matthews with the best available option for him which is Nylander. Then fill in the blanks with whoever.

From your numbers, that means a top 2 lines with
Matty - Willy
Marner - Johnny T
is a combined 62 GF, 25 GA . . . that's an insanely great ratio!!! No brainer!

I have a feeling this is 90% because of the need to satisfy Matthews' wishes to play with Marner.

The game hasn't started yet and already Keefe is going to be outcoached.

Kerfoot in the top 6 is a joke. There is already an extensive track record of no results with him with Tavares and Nylander, but of course that will change with all the open ice that's available in the playoffs.

Gio-Holl is going to get absolutely feasted on by Tampa. Holl is deep inside his own head and playing scared and Gio is 39 years old and looking tired, like he's looked for the past month.

Keefe will be the undoing of this Team, and possibly Dubas. He should have been gone 2 years ago, but we are still looking at the same stink heap here, with us having the inferior coach.

Hoping for the best, but I'm already mentally checking out if Keefe is going to just do the same stupid shit over and over again. Not even bothering putting the Leaf flags on the cars and outside on the flag pole like I usually do.

This year just feels like I'm at a crossroads. After over 50 years cheering this team from my heart and soul, it just feels different, and not in a good way.

Respect to this pationate longtime Leaf fan. I hear yuh bro. I'm also 60 years as a fan.
Praying that talent wins out here. No faith in Keefe, Holl or Kerfoot.

Don't get me wrong. Holl is decent. The problem is when he does make a mistake it always seems to be significant.

Hopefully he is alright .. if he is off mentally you will know very early in game .. one of those guys who dresses in trainers room, heaves and then goes into his Zen state .. this is not abnormal for tenders i knew one in junior and another in I who were same way .. they have to find their own way to eliminate anxiety/mental pressure/depression .. man i could never ever play goal .. everyone knows da games are decided in net including da tenders

I've seen a couple people comment on how Giordano is looking worn out and tired, and this started well before the playoffs.

I couldn't agree more, he legit looked shot in game 1 - which makes it all the more mind boggling why they didn't load manage him. I hate this organization so much sometimes.

what I am trying to say is I will not be any more concerned if we go down 0-2 then I will be elated if we rattle off 3 straight and make the series 3-1. I am going to hold my emotions as close to the middle no matter the situation. That's not to say I am not going to be pissed when they lose, or celebrate each win. I just won't crank it up to 10 on either side of the emotional dial. I am choosing to let the series play out in it's entirety before I react that way.
