Why is it moot? Fourth line gave up the tying goal after a good minute-plus of chasing.

Sorry, that's all on Wiz. When you are playing 4-on-4, you can't try and make such a low % play along the boards that close to your goal. He let the play get by him before he tried to make the hit and it cost the team the game.

Best result is you clear the zone, worst is a 2-on-1 in sudden death.

Eh, I think this game was a step in the right direction in terms of offense. And our defense was much better for most of the night. While we reduced the amount of dumb plays committed, Washington did a good job of cashing in on the few we did.

Also we hit like 3 posts.

Usually I'm not too optimistic about a loss, but this effort was more reminiscent of last year's team than this year's.

Goalies are like QB's, too much credit, too much blame. Bob was seriously fine tonight. Yes, the 2nd goal was bad and can't happen. 3rd goal he was out of position a bit, but if you clear the zone with one of the 45 chances they could have, that doesn't happen.

You guys all want to blame the goalie, but it's far more than that. Bob didn't lose the game for us, but he didn't help us win very much either.

Speaking only for myself I expressed wiz dissapointment because I expect the aforementioned from Johansson in pretty much every key situation ever.

Wiz has to stay set and look to tie a stick up on the 3rd goal. No reason to be so aggressive 4 on 4 way over by the boards on the last one. Terrible once again. Johansen's gotta be all over Ovechkin too on the last one...Bob didn't look good on either.

As long as Dubinsky, Johansen, and Atkinson are the only productive "top 6" forwards, we will continue to lose. Arty, Umby, and Gaborik need to step it the **** up. And to a lesser extent Letestu, but he's stuck on a line with no wingers. We need offense. Hopefully once our lineup has Calvert, Foligno, Jenner, and Horton, we'll have that.

He's letting in a bad goal a game. It's gone from "how cute, Bob's giving the other team a chance to win" to "He's a slow starter, he'll get better" to "Does Bob has Mason Syndrome?"

You just knew that 3rd goal was coming. It felt exactly like the Mason years.

The season's already started to slip away. If Bob doesn't go back to old Bob really fast, it'll be another season over by Thanksgiving.
